    Backstory:

The Warrior of Sunlight is the name of a covenant that, according to legend, originates in a land far, far away from Tamriel. It's members are unknown to the people of Skyrim, and possibly all of Tamriel. In fact, the locals and higher-ups of Skyrim have no knowledge of this group, let alone the covenant members. Commoners who see the strange people of this mysterious group often compare them to Holy Paladins, or Crusaders. The warriors themselves seem to simply appear around Tamriel, but they give no explanations.

The most common stories and rumors of these warriors are of their prowess and grace in battle. According to one of the more famous stories, a single one of these men, or women, fended off a troublesome pact of Trolls attacking a small farm. The warrior struck them down with bright lightning before they could set foot on the farms soil. All that is known of these warriors is that they have exceptional skills with their long swords, the devastating elemental magic of lightning, and the healing powers of the restorative magic used by several priests of Skyrim. The Warriors of Sunlight are often seen traveling with partners, who stick together during their adventures unknown to commoners.

    Race:

Any human race can be used. I personally like to use the Imperials, since they're my favourite race in The Elder Scrolls, but feel free to use a Breton, Redguard, or Nord. Any other race doesn't really suit this character.

    Stats:

    Health/Magicka/Stamina

2/2/1 (This is for if you want to have a balance between melee and magic. If you want to use melee more than magic, try 3/1/1. For more magic and less melee, try 2/3/1)

    Equipment:

Helmet/Chest/Guantlets/Boots: I like to use the full Heavy Dawnguard armor set. I find it has a nice aesthetic appeal that could fit what a Warrior of Sunlight looks like. The armor value is quite low, so feel free to use the Steel Plate set, which also looks good for this build.

Weapon: If you plan on using magic more than melee, use the Steel Sword, which looks great for RP purposes. Otherwise, use the highest-tier available sword.

Shield: I like to use the Dawnguard Shield with the Heavy Dawnguard armor. If you use the Steel Plate armor instead, use the Steel Shield.

    Any ring and amulet.

    Enchantments:

    Helmet/Chest/Amulet/Ring: Fortify Destruction/Fortify Restoration

    Gloves: Fortify One-Handed/Fortify Block

    Boots: Fortify-One Handed/Fortify Stamina Regen

    Shield: Resist Magic/ Fortify Block

    Sword: Absorb Health, Shock Damage

    Perks/Skills:

    Block: Everything

Heavy Armor: Juggernaut 5/5, Well Fitted, Fists of Steel, Cushioned, Conditioning

One-Handed: Armsman 5/5, Bladesman 3/3, Fighting Stance, Critical Charge, Savage Strike

Smithing: Steel Smithing, Arcane Blacksmith, (go all the way up to Dragon Smithing if you don't plan on sticking with the Steel Sword)

Enchanting: Enchanter 5/5, Insightful, Copus, Extra Effect

Restoration: Novice Restoration, Dual Casting, Recovery, Regeneration, Necromage, Respite

Destruction: Novice, Dual Casting, Impact, Augmented Shock, Disintegrate

    Spells:

Thunderbolt, Chain Lightning, Wall of Storms, Lightning Storm (not very RP friendly in this case, but master spells are usually a good idea to use over expert spells late-game), Grand Healing, Greater Ward, Guardian Circle

    Shouts:

    Dragon Aspect

    Abilities:

Bountiful Sunlight - The Warrior uses their undying faith in the Sun to heal him/herself and nearby allies.

    Grand Healing or Guardian Circle

Sunlight Spear - The Warrior focuses their energy, and unleashes it in the form of a devastating electrical spear.

    Lightningbolt

Great Magic Barrier - The Warrior calls upon the Sun to grant them an impenetrable bodily shield, in order to deliver judgement on those who defy the Warriors of Sunlight.

    Greater Ward

Power Within - The Warrior unleashes his inner energy and faith, transforming them into killing machines which put fear in any foes unlucky enough to still be standing.

    Dragon Aspect

    Follower:

Any human follower will do. I used Lydia, but she's not a necessity. It'd be ideal to have a tanky companion over a ranged or sneaky one.

    Gameplay:

This build plays out similarly to a Paladin, Shaman, Battlemage, etc... The big difference in this build is that it focuses on the Shock element for offense, and healing and wards for defense. No other spells are used. The shout is meant to be used against a tough boss, or against several tough enemies.

1 v. 1: If fighting a single enemy, they shouldn't cause many problems, unless it's a boss. If it's a regular enemy, a few lightningbolts or smacks from the sword is all it'll take. If it's a boss, decide quickly if it's worth using [power within]. This will make the fight much more easier, unless you decided to focus on magic more than melee. If you don't use the ability, it's probably best to either keep your distance and pelt them with lightningbolts/lightning storm and heal after being hit, or rush in with your shield raised, and try to disarm them with a power bash. If you have a follower (which you should), try to get the boss to aggro on them, and constantly use [bountiful sunlight] in between a few smacks on the boss.

1 v. group: This build is suited for most fights, and going up against a group is no exception. First things first, send your follower in before you, assuming they haven't detected you yet. Then, rush in while dual casting chain lightning or lightning storm, and most groups will go down quickly.

Dragon: If you're fighting a dragon, you shouldn't have many problems if you make good use of [bountiful sunlight], [great magic barrier] or shield, or [power within]. After the dragon flies by, dual cast lightning bolt and hit them a few times. When it lands, try and get your follower to go first, and have a healing spell handy.

That's all for the Warrior of Sunlight build. This is my first build, hope you enjoy! Please leave a suggestion for next time, if you have one.

Nice build! Extra points for the Dark Souls references ! I would check out the archives and tag your build accordingly. APart from that, I would make your abilities a little more special because at the moment, they are just something anyone can do. Congrats on your first build

Good job. One thing though. When you talk about the magicka/health/stamina variations, i think they might be switched around. You siad that for the more melee based build you should go with more points in magicka over health, and in the more magic side its health over magicka. Sorry if i just misread it though. +1

Nice first build! I'm always down for a little shock magic, and paladin/battlemage builds are an awful lot of fun to play :D

I think this build, while good, could really benefit from a bit of roleplay for direction. The backstory is mysterious and fun, but readers don't really get a complete idea of what they're supposed to do as they play this character. Should we be hunting the undead? Bandits? Or are we going after any evil thing that crosses our path? Are there any quests that this character would fit into nicely? Is the civil war a concern for us or do we let these Tamriel folk hash it out themselves? Is the character trying to maintain secrecy, or create a foothold for his order to expand?

A little bit of direction could go a long way to really making this build shine. Shine... see what I did there? ;D :p

GreAt first build. The presentation is pretty solid and I especially like the skill icons. I'm sure I recognize them. Did you make them yourself?

Love the build man, but I would recommend indulging more in the special attacks.
