The Trap Master
welcome to my build,The Trap Master. It is good for anyone who would like to play as a stealthy character but with a twist! The twist being that you use Fire runes, Shock runes and Frost runes which wouldn't typically be used by a stealth based character. In order to play this character successfully you need to be able to up-level your skills fast and be able to manage a large skill set.
Back Story
Your father is a Psychopathic necromancer who was obsessed with resurrecting your dead mother.For this he needed a sacrifice the sacrifice had to be someone who the dead person loved. You made a perfect sacrifice. During the ritual your body was fused with magical energy and instead of dying,you channelled the magical energy into a blast of pure fire. Now your father was dead and by your hand. You fled your home in Black-Marsh and set foot to Skyrim were you wanted a better life. You arrived at the border and were knocked unconscious.
Game play
Stealth is a big part of The Trap Master. While sneaking you place runes such as Shock Rune, Frost Rune and Fire Rune. If you don't have the Quite casting perk place a rune on the floor and either run to a hiding spot or immediately come out of stealth and use your Bow/Sword to kill them if the rune doesn't kill them if they are a bandit or a animal you can use illusion magic to calm them or make them flee. When facing a dragon cast oak flesh and use your bow from range when they come down from the sky try to place runes were they are going to walk or you could place it were it going to land and use your bow again. When using a sword you have a rune in your hand and place it were they are walking.
Don't Focus on one element. Use each element to your advantage for example if you were fighting a warrior based character use a frost rune to drain its stamina and if you were fighting a Mage use a shock rune to drain its magicka. I would use fire runes against frost based enemies such as frost Atronachs or i would use it on animals.
Sneak:Sneak is important for laying your rune in strategic positions before initiating a battle. For example if I was in a dungeon I would find a door way enter the door way and place a rune by the entrance and then used my bow to assassinate them until I was spotted when I was spotted they would charge after me and step in the rune killing them as they would probably be damaged from my arrows.
Destruction:The magic energy that your father used in the ritual fused with your body allowing you to plant the same runes he used in the ritual on the floor. Destruction is used to improve your ability of casting runes. As I mentioned before don't focus on one element use each element to your advantage this is why you need deep freeze, intense flames and disintegrate.
illusion:Illusion is used to lo lure your enemies into the runes you have placed for example. I could use calm on an enemy and walk in front of them with out them trying to kill me ! and place a rune exactly were they walk. Or I could use frenzy to cause the enemy to run to one of their companions and place a rune in front of the companion perhaps killing them both. Illusion is also useful as it allows you to cast muffle spells and eventually invisibility.
Archery:Archery is your main offence. You use it to kill enemies at a ranged distance and to assassinate the ones that you cant reach. Also you could kill an enemy as a distraction to make an enemy start walking which can then lead to them walking into a rune.
Shouts:Slow time. Unrelenting Force, Fire Breath.
Side Skills:One handed, Alteration, Light Armour
GearChest: Studded Armour-Scaled Armour: reduce cost of destruction spells.
Boots: Hide Boots-Dark Brother hood boots:muffled/Increase stamina
Gauntlets: Hide Gauntlets- Scaled Bracers: Increase bow damage
Head: Novice hood - adept hood: Magicka increase
Weapons
Primary: Any Bow but:any elemental damage.
Secondary: Any Sword/dagger YOUR CHOICE!!!!
Abilities.
Nova Bomb: Place a fire rune on the floor in front of you and shout Fire Breathe over it to set it off.
Elemental Cover: Place a rune in front of you and shoot above it using your bow doing so allows you to weaken enemies before they trigger the rune
Quick Rune: use the Slow Time shout and run up to an enemy and place a rune were they are about to step.
Role Play:
Guilds:The Companions-For money, The Collage Of Winterhold-to practice runes, Dark Brotherhood to practice stealth and for money too.
War: Join the Imperials as you believe that if you let the nordish brutes take over skyrim, it will cause more bloodshed and you know the effects that it could have on people.
-Race: Argonian For Lore/Dark elf for their +10 destruction +5 sneak + 5 alteration and +5 light armour
