Hahaha! Finish Him! I think my time with Skyrim (thousands of hours...oh my..) has helped me pre-plan my strategies quite a bit. With 100 Health though sometimes it doesn't even matter and I have to reload and formulate a new one lol. I loved the strategy and options though. This type of playthrough was so fun because I wasn't spamming my favorite Destruction spell the whole time. I probably used Greater Powers 60% of the time and my stave/Flames the other 40% and once-a-day abilities force you to constantly change your strat. Gotta stay fluid :)

That's a very good point about your physical strength and lycanthropy and my pure Mage tie to vampirism. I daresay our builds are practically brothers ;D

So far I have learned many things, most of all to really follow this: "avoid unnecessary conflicts"  and this: "your staff is your friend". I'm always hesitant about using the staff though, I feel like I'm wasting it against only a few enemies. And I'm really loving traveling with Mist Form, though I tried the same glitch with Bats, and it didn't work

And so far, the hardest part has been getting the Chalice. I had just got through one part that had taken me about 15 minutes and then *BAM SPIKE WALL IN YO FACE*..... and then I cried......I had forgotten to save....

Hahahaha! Save, save, save! I actually turn off autosave because it takes longer to load when entering places. I save before difficult battles or halfway through long dungeons. But I mean, you just can't predict a spike wall to the face haha! Same thing happened to me in Bleak Falls Barrow. It sucks but it's also awesome how dangerous dungeon traps can be to this guy! Where as any other playthrough you could take 10 poison darts to the face and keep on truckin'. More soul gem advice: Apocrypha, Apocrypha, Apocrypha, Soul Cairn. I feel like a broken record lol. By going into all the Black Books you will gain tons of soul gems and scrolls fo' free! And when you finally reach then Soul Cairn you'll never worry about soul gems again. Every enemy carries them and you can harvest all those fissures to fill any empties you might have. I'm still playing this build and even I know when to skip some battles. Too many automaton? Nope, not fighting em. These guys in particular are immune to damn near everything we have and the spheres gain ground too quickly. I like to kill most things cuz I love victory but you learn to pick your battles, obviously.

I've found that you can spam-activate on those soul fissures and fill 6-8 soul gems, and it starts with the biggest you have, so you could potentially fill about 30 grand soul gems in one trip to the Cairn. And I think I'm going to start avoiding battles more often lol.

The need/ability to pass by conflict really makes this guy fun to play, as its balanced out by giant explosions and arcane spell combos. "I'm really the most powerful wizard around... Just don't try me, please, I've stuff to do today." @ Tim, that's an awesome discovery about spamming activate on the Soul Fissures. Someone should drop a line in on the T&T group... (Cough Al Cough)

Oh! Nice find :) but with all those soul gems your staff could have a field day! And those Greater Powers are meant to be used. Don't be afraid Tim; you may be glassy but you're also a cannon!

*Hands Kleenex* Ya filthy animal. I have this problem where I think I can take on anything so I let my Greater Powers flow freely and engaged in lots of unnecessary combat. That's just me though ;D off to the T&T Group!

Ok, so just ONE more question before Ahzidal....Did you get the All-Maker's Stones before or after the fight? I could see it making a large difference, so I was curious.

You still haven't picked those up?! I got em before I started Unearthed and they really helped me beat the quest, especially Azhidal. BEFORE, most definitely. Just so you know, when you get your arse kicked you an cry on my shoulder :D

    Good luck!!
