*This build features content from Dawnguard and Dragonborn*
Molag Bal, Lord of Domination, once, while looking for mortals to torment, he found a Breton noble lady, pure of heart and soul, and a devout follower of Mara, it sickened him. He came to her, in human guise, and, in her home, defiled her savagely. The baby that was born was half-daedra, half human, his Daedric nature sealed in an Akaviri sword, until, that is, he turned eighteen, and his powers re-manifested. He was taken in by a kindly old priest, and trained in the Knights of the Circle. Now, four years later, as an Exorcist of Arkay, he swore an oath to one day exorcise the land of the spawn of Oblivion...
The Nephilim is lightly armored, and lightly healthed fighter, not utilizing a shield, alchemy, or restoration. He utilizes his Blade’s Sword, the Kurikara, allowing him to unlock his demon potential, flame and lightning magic, Familiars, and fancy footwork to fell his enemies. He also makes use of the underused Banish spells when his sword runs out of charge. With only a little over 200 health, you’ll have to keep moving, especially on higher difficulties.
As some of my fellow anime fans may realize, I have decided to base this build off Rin Okumura, the son of Satan and a mortal woman, who has pledged to defend Earth from his father’s demon hordes, and defeat his dad. While being familiar with Blue Excorcist/Ao No Excorcist will help, it’s not required. Though I do recommend it, its less than thirty episodes.
Race: Breton Vampire. I chose Breton due to the fact that, not only does Racial Phenology state the child is the race of the mother, it fit because of their duality. The Nephilim is half Daedra, half human, as Bretons are descended from Half-Elves, Half-Humans, the Manmer. The Vampirism is the Daedric half of The Nephilim. Alongside the extra Magicka Resistance, Dragonskin, and racial boosts.
Standing Stone: The Warrior or Mage, then The Lord, in order to help keep this character alive with his relatively low health pool.
Stats: 4/2/2, you’re gonna need a good amount of magicka to pull off some of the moves, and Stamina for power attacks/carry weight. After reaching about 200-220 in health, then dump the rest into stamina and magicka.
Shouts: Dragon Aspect, Whirlwind Sprint, Storm Call, Call of Valor, Marked for Death, Slow Time, Fire Breath, Unrelenting Force, Cyclone.
Skills: One-Handed, Light Armor, Conjuration, Destruction, Enchanting
Recommended Quests-Main Quest, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Man Who Cried Wolf/Wolf Queen Awakened, Laid to Rest, Ancestral Worship, College of Winterhold, Destroy the Dark Brotherhood, House of Horrors, Waking Nightmares, Neloth’s Quests, Served Cold, A Night to Remember, Divine Quests (Book of Love, Heart of Dibella, Blessings of Nature)
The way I played the Nephilim was generally a decent guy, helping out wherever he can, giving a Septim or two to beggars, studying, but, there is a dual nature to him. His Daedric nature (Vampire Lord form and Dragon Aspect), is always trying to break out, force him to commit unspeakable acts. The Nephilim knows this, and lets his darker nature out once and while with the Kurikara, granting him heightened abilities and strength. Against mages, and archers, it is advisable to close the gap with either Whirlwind Sprint or regular sprinting, and take them out.
Dragons were also possible to take down due to the use of ranged spells. Undead were easy if in groups of 1-3, due to, aside from the Banishment enchantment on Kurikara, the Fiery Soul Trap, not only can the sword be recharged, (Alongside Azura’s Star), but it burns them.
Though, two handed, heavily armored bosses proved the most trouble. The best I did was either sidestep, or block their attacks, then wear them out with spells. Swift strikes, and the usage of Flaming Familiars and non Flaming ones, in order to both soften up the enemies, and keep them off me when I was on low health and had to chug a potion or two.
With this character in questing, even with outside knowledge of what would happen, my character wouldn’t know, so he could do a quest such as House of Horrors. I chose to kill the Priest, then toss the Mace into the fires of Aethereal Forge, or shoved it in a chest in my house, just to spit Molag.
With Blessings of Nature, I chose to take a sapling back to Danica, instead of the tree sap. If you feel sufficiently threatened enough, and have at least one Word of Dragon Aspect, whip out your Kurikara, activate the Shout, and go to town on your foes.
The Nephilim victorious over some foul Daedra Worshippers
Exwire’s Scaled Tunic-The tunic of an Exwire, a rank in the Exorcist branch of the Knights of the Circle, the outfit allows the Nephilim protection and mobility. (Solitude Guard Armor enchanted with Fortify Smithing/Conjuration and Fortify Healing Rate)
Excorcist’s Scribed Bracers-Cuior Boiled leather bracers, inscribed with holy magics, boost the offensive and defensive capabilites of the wearer. (Penitus Oculatus armor enchanted with Fortify One-Handed and Fortify Block)
Knight Exorcist's Boots-Padded leather boots every Exorcist wears, allowing one speed on the battlefield for the souls of the slain, and defense against magics. (Dawnguard or Penitus Oculatus Boots enchanted with Resist Fire and Resist Magic/Fortify One-Handed)
Shrouded Cowl-Each member of the Knight Exorcist wears a hood on their armor, primarily used in recon missions, or to conceal their identity.
Knight Exorcist's Signet-A ring that acts as both an identifier for a member of the Knight’s Excorcist, but allows one to signal members with just a tap of the diamond. (Gold Diamond Ring enchanted with Fortify Conjuration and Destruction/One-Handed)
Daedra Sealing Amulet-A necklace the Nephilim wears that, not only makes it so, while he can release his Daedric Nature, cannot be consumed by it. (Gold Diamond Amulet enchanted with Fortify Destruction and Healing Rate/Magicka Regen)
The Kurikara-The Akaviri blade that holds the Nephilim’s Daedric nature within, he can release the inner darkness by unsheathing the blade and concentrating. (Blades Sword enchanted with Chaos Damage/Fiery Soul Trap and Banish) |
The Daedric Aspect:
What remains: Kurikara, Daedra Sealing Amulet, Knight Excorcist’s Signet
Why Glass or Stahlrm: While Daedric or Ebony would work best for a Daedric aspect of a character, considering this uses light armor, I thought these two would work, plus they both look pretty neat with Flame Cloak on
Balspawn Armor-Forged from from a mixture of Voidstones and Stalhrim, this crystal like armor empowers the Nephilim with unnatural energies. (Glass armor enchanted with Fortify Destruction and Conjuration)
Soulstriders of Fate-Boots forged of tanned hides and spellforged crystals, these boots have been infused with the souls of the fallen. (Stalhrim Light Boots enchanted with Fortify Stamina Regen and Resist Shock)
Grasp of Coldharbour-Gauntlets forged of Galanite in the forges of Coldharbour, these chilly gauntlets increase the Balspawn’s martial and magical abilities. (Stahlrim Gauntlets enchanted with Fortify One Handed and Destruction)
Miraak-A unique looking mask, stripped from the slain Dragonborn and Hermaeus Mora’s champion, Miraak. Adds an increase to your Magicka total, and, since our Light Armor skill should be higher than our Heavy Armor skill, will net us the light armor variant. Used moreso for aesthetics and the extra magicka.
` Kudos to Golden Fool for the Perk Spread
One-Handed-Trained in the use of nimble blades to pierce, slice, and parry through armor and weapons, the Exorcists are fierce warriors of Arkay.
Light Armor-Sacrificing the increased protection heavier armor gives in exchange for mobility, the Exwires are trained in the use of light armors.
Destruction-The Knights of the Circle are trained in the art of fire magic to burn away undead. The Nephilim uses a mix of his own daedric born pyromancy skills, in conjunction with his own energy, to slay the undead, and the Daedra.
Conjuration-Alongside the spells taught by the Knights Excorcist to banish Daedra to the foul pits of Oblivion from whence they came, the Nephilim is able to summon familiars to his aid.
Enchanting-Arkay blesses the arms and armor of the Knights Exorcist. Wherever they bring ruin to the Daedra and Undead, Arkay goes with them.
Despite your Daedric nature, you are a good person at heart, so try and help people with their problems.
Leave donations at Chapels to the Divines when you can.
Never wantonly kill civilians (Yes, even Nazeem)
Try to persuade and pride people rather than intimidate them.
Electric Slide-Zipping past his foe, the Nephilim launches an arc of mystical energy at his enemy’s back, then calls for twin familiars to aid him.
(Whirlwind Sprint+Dual Cast Chain Lightning+Two (Flaming) Familiars in succession/Twin Souls+Familiar Spell
Blue Blaze-Wrapping himself in a cloak of crackling energy, the spawn of Bal launches a furious, fiery assault at his foes.
(Potion of Fortify Destruction+Lightning Cloak+Fire Breath+Dual Cast Fireball/Incinerate)
Arkaynian Exorcism-When dealing with a conjurer, the Nephilim sends his foe flying back with a blast of energy, then deals with his Daedric companions, finally he calls up his familiar to soften up the conjurer.
(Firebolt+Unrelenting Force/Cyclone+Banish Spell+Summon Familiar+Ash Spell on Familiar)
Wake the Daedra-Unsheathing the Kurikara, the spawn of Bal, the Nephilim breaks the seal on his soul, releasing his Daedric Nature on his enemies.
(Unsheath Kurikara+Fire Cloak+Potion of Blood+Potion of Fortify Destruction+Dragon Aspect+Marked for Death/Soul Tear)
Thanks for Reading, everyone!

That my friend will be hard, and at the same time.... Actually you should just change that from that to this.

Dang, Chris... you are one prolific builder! While I'm sad not to see this in the Crossworlds event It's nice to get a taste of things to come :D
You combine some of my favorite things and smash them all into one build: samurai/ronin vibe, demonhunter, and good-aligned vampire with a touch of magic... sweet!
As always, great work!

Chris, I noticed that all your builds share the same problem with presentation - side-aligned images don't match well with text. There is an HTML trick that deals with it. See attached the code for your equipment section. You can do the same for the other sections as well. The breakdown is this:
<table> - opens table tag, </table> - closes table tag - this creates a table similar to tables in word
<tr> - opens row tag, </tr> - closes row tag - this creates a new row
<td> - opens cell tag, </td> - closes cell tag - this creates a new cell
Cell tag is within the row tag which is, in turn, within table tag.
By adding style="vertical-align:middle;" to the <tr> and <td> tags you center the text and images vertically compared to each other. The line "padding-left:10px;" is for the text not to be too close to the images. Hope this helps

Hey Chris, I really love your point of view on one of my favourite anime characters in history : Rin Okumura.
I love how you blended in every branch from the exorcist tree in here (summoning, blue flames and swordfighting) The only thing I was a little bit disappointed about is the lack of blue in the first armor set, but the second one makes up for that so overall good job and a +1 from me :D
