    The Black Phantom

" Showing no mercy to anyone, nor allowing anyone to defend themselves, The Black Phantom strikes with speed, stealth, and precision. If this does not however suffice, than he is more than willing to bend and manipulate their minds to do his bidding."

Hello everyone and welcome to my latest build, The Black Phantom. I created this build because I wanted a unique assassin build, that used Illusion, Speech, Alchemy, and Shouts in a completely new way. The Black Phantom also has a unique weapons arsenal, which is hinted in the screenshot above. As you can see it uses the underrated ghost weapons, but, with the correct perks, has made very effective use of Ghostblade, Drainheart Sword, and Drainspell Bow. So without further ado, let us delve into the unique back story of this build.

    Back Story:

"Many years ago, during the Great War, I was a torturer in service of the Imperial Army. During the planning of the retake for the Imperial City, I interrogated many high ranking officials in the Aldmeri Dominion. Their information proved invaluable, and was the main reason we were able to take back the Imperial City. After gaining control of the Imperial City, the Empire signed the White Gold Concordant, and one particular Thalmor official I had previously interrogated demanded me executed. The coward Emperor Titus Mede II conceded, and so I was forced to leave Cyrrodil before being captured by my former brothers in arms. From that day forward, I swore vengeance against the Thalmor, The Empire, and Titus Mede II himself. I will fulfill this vendetta, even if I must use the help of the Daedric artifacts to do so"

    Gameplay:

Like I previously stated in the introduction of the build, I wanted to make an assassin that used normal skill sets in a very unique way. To start off with, The Black Phantom uses sneak like any other assassin would, but it is not a crutch like with most stealth builds. Illusion is used as a sort of crowd control esque, that will also help cause a distraction in an instant. The build also dual wields Drainheart Sword and Ghostblade with as much speed as possible. If a target is in an open area, than it uses the infamous Drainspell Bow as its long range killing machine. Or, if the shot is too risky, can turn invisible, and out of now where slit the targets throat, followed with a mayhem spell and some slow poisons. And if it has to engage in combat, will make fun use of the three worded Marked For Death Shout, followed by damage health poisons and manipulating the dual flurry and dual savage perks. This makes for an ultimate killing machine, and the fighting feels pretty sweet to pull of in this build

                              Level 55 Perkspread

Sneak: Used to maneuver around dungeons, caves, etc, the build uses it to get the drop on its targets and enemies, which is crucial in assassinations.

One Handed: This is what makes the Black Phantom a savage dual wielder, and will also give you a nice 10% chance of doing critical damage, which is always a nice bonus.

Archery: Archery is used to counter those pesky dragons, or take out targets in the open. The Archery skill tree is what will make the Drainspell Bow a total beast in action.

Illusion: As I previously talked about, Illusion is used a crowd control skill when a target is taken out in public. It can also be used in random dungeons, as its always entertaining to cause a whole cave to become a total slaughter house. Also this is how we will get our invisibility, which is extremely useful when an enemy is in the open and you don't feel like wasting an arrow on him.

Alchemy: Used for useful restore health, stamina, and magicka potions. But mainly we're investing in it for making our poisons that much more potent.

Speech: This build was a former torturer, and so intimidation is his favorite way to get info out of people.

Heavy Armor: Since this build will be using ebony mail, I thought it would be a smart idea to max out juggernaut, which will give us just enough armor protection to suffice.

    Roleplay

Since you were formally a torturer, always use intimidation as your primary way of getting information from people.

Abandon the Thieves Guild after acquiring the Skeleton Key, this is the reason you joined them in the first place.

If an assassination is witnessed in a single room, eliminate all witnesses, this character does not care about the lives of the innocent as much as his quest for revenge.

If an opponent surrenders, kill them quick and clean

    The Hitlist

"I have swore vengeance against the Thalmor, the Empire, and Mede himself"

Titus Mede II: He allowed your execution, he needs to die for betraying you.

Elewen: The first emissary to Skyrim, killing her will send the Thalmor a strong message that your not someone to be trifled with.

Ondelmar: Second Emmisary to Skyrim, killing him will weaken the Thalmor's grasp on Skyrim.

Ancano: A Thalmor scum who wishes to gain the Eye of Magnus for the Empire, he needs to die.

Rulundil: An interrogator and Second Emissary to Skyrim, kill him slow and painful.

Good job on this one, good backstory, and man, the first picture with the armour sold it for me, great looks on the character! Ow and ofcourse you did a very good job at making speech and alchemy worth leveling, which also says alot because I generally look down upon those two skills. Good job! + 1 from me!

Thanks Eowyn! Like I said in the presentation I wanted a build that used speech and alchemy in a different way, and I can see its paying off. And yes I agree, that first screenshot is my favorite one as well:-)

Thanks for the like Richard. Personally I went with full thieves guild armor, then full nightingale, until I reached level 30 and acquired ebony mail.
