Hello, and welcome to the next of my Vampire The Masquerade Clans series, a semi-collab between Bryn and myself, after months of work, I proudly present.....

    *Utilizes Dawnguard and Dragonborn content*

    Toreador Reading Music

You wish to know about the Toreador, hmm? Well, to start, you know the tales of vampires who seduce and beguile mortals with their beauty and charm, we are their inspiration. We are the inventors, the artists, the authors of this land. True, many of us are so attentive to beauty we may waste hours making a victim’s corpse look perfect, including the light, but that is our way. We Toreador are purveyors of beauty, and discretion, for all desires are valid, to a man or woman with a full purse.....

Race: Altmer Vampire, due to being not only one of the oldest races on Nirn, they, due to their long lives, can spot the flaws in a human’s artwork, no matter how minute, plus, they get a bonus to Illusion.

Of course, my personal favorite, Bretons would work, due to their culture, and love of plotting.

Appearance: Give your character a regal look, neat hair, trim beard if you wish, nothing too hideous, like facial scars or tattoos.

    Standing Stone: The Lord/Lady

Stats: 4/2/2 in Magicka, Health, and Stamina.

Major Skills: One-Handed, Illusion, Enchanting, Speech.

    Minor Skills: Light Armor, Destruction.

Shouts: Slow Time, Become Ethereal, Elemental Fury, Bend Will, Aura Whisper, Whirlwind Sprint, Disarm, Ice Form.

I played the Toreador as one who seeks beauty in all things, especially in the kill. If you kill someone, friend or foe, take time to arrange their body. Lay a flower or two on it, make it so their bodies are straight.

With Undead, I mainly let my followers take care of the weaker ones, softening up the tougher, boss-like enemies, while I used swift blade strikes to take them out. Whenever the opportunity, I presented itself, I either bribed or persuaded my enemies in order to get my way. If possible, if outnumbered, and outgunned, I would calm as many enemies as possible, or use Bend Will to have a small army for a time, and dispatch them when I had no longer any need of them.

With Archers and Mages, it is best to calm them first, take out the rest, then move on to them. With Two Handers, I found it easier if I calmed them, poisoned my weapon with paralysis, got them on the ground, then let loose with flames. Dragons were taken out with a gust of flame. Flame spells were chosen as the Toreador using passion and inspiration as a weapon, the flames of passion and the fires of industry made real.

Whether wielding a spell in the other hand, or a parrying knife in the other, they are masters of the art of combat.

When it came to equipement, I went with what looked the best, beautiful, starting with your plain old Elven, then making it up to Glass. You can go for Ancient Falmer if you wish, I did at one point.

Crystal-Studded Armor-Armor studded with beautiful crystals. (Glass Armor enchanted with Fortify Health Regen and Illusion.)

Gilded Armguards-Lustrous gilded wristguards, courtesy of the Emperor. (Gilded Wristguards enchanted with Fortify One-Handed and Fortify Magicka, you may substitute with Glass Gauntlets, named Emerald Armguards)

Jade Boots-Exquisite boots carved of pure jade. (Glass Boots enchanted with Fortify One-Handed and Resist Fire)

Heart of Inspiration-A diamond necklace granting power and inspiration to the wearer. (Gold Diamond necklace enchanted with Fortify Barter and Destruction.)

Arikelis’ Wisdom-A signet ring each member of the clan is given, suppsoedly binding us to our founder, Arikelia. (Gold Diamond ring enchanted with Fortify Magicka Regen and Illusion)

Radiance-A polished silver sword, that glows in the light, and fueled by passion. (Silver Sword enchanted with Fire Damage and Absorb Health)

Kindjal-A finely crafted blade forged in the Yokudan style, coated in gold and bronze, in case of disarmament, or for a little surprise. (Dwarven Dagger enchanted with Fiery Soul Trap and Chaos Damage)

Innovator’s Genius-A beautiful circlet, gifting the wearer with keen insight. (Gold and Emerald Circle

t enchanted with Fortify Illusion and Fortify Destruction)

Main Quest-Dragons burning the world down, think of all the natural beauty that would be lost! These beasts must fall, that, and we’d be out of food.

Volikhar-Harkon is a fool, exposing us by wishing to blot out the sun, if I kill him, I not only get to rule another clan, and possibly turn them into Toreador, but, I can hopefully tidy up this castle.

Dragonborn-Ah, a new canvas I can paint my influence on, I suppose I’ll have to rid this place of that Miraak fellow first.

Neloth’s Questline-Ash Spawn, such disgusting creatures, they must be wiped clean, like dust from an ancient masterpiece.

Civil War (Imperials)-If these Stormcloaks win this war, who knows what they could do to all this fabulous Imperial culture in this frozen hell!

Bard’s College-Ah, the bards, tellers ot legends, fables, such exquisite pieces of literature, perhaps they may allow me to peruse their collection if I aid them.

The Dark Brotherhood-Ah, how sublime beauty the end of a mortal’s life brings, their breaths, the draining of color from them, wonderful, and they make amazing statues.

One of my colleague Sander’s newest pieces.

    • As stated previously, always arrange your fallen foe’s bodies, perhaps drop flowers like Blue Mountain and Nightshade around them.

    • Always try to persuade or bribe before selecting combat.

    • Have a follower as an apprentice.

    • Always carry a book of poetry or history, like The Red Book of Riddles, with you at all times.

    • You are more in sync with humanity than the other Clans, like the brutish Quarra or the cowardly Nosferatu, protect mortals at all cost, so you may love, and feed on them.

    cooltext1789273098.png

Statue Gallery-Applying a deadly tonic to one foe, the Toreador gathers his foes in a group, before making them the newest additions to his collection, frozen in time.

     Damage Health Poison+Grouped enemies+Ice Form (3 Words)

Presence-An almost unnatural allure and passion flows from the Toreador towards his enemies, letting down their guard, as hs jabs a venom into some of them, using sweet words to sway some to his side.

Harmony+Damage Health poison on severeal enemies+Bend Will

Auspex-The Toreador gains enhanced senses, being able to see where foes are through walls, and slow enemies down somewhat.

     Aura Whisper+Slow Poison (Deathbell+River Betty+Salt Pile)+Vampire Sight

    Celerity-The Toreador taps into his blood, allowing him to move with supernatural quickness, practically burning his foes with his speed, attacking with his blade in a whirlwind;

    Flame Cloak+Slow Time+Radiance dual wielded with Kindjal+Poison

Thanks to Bryn for an awesome collab experience.

    I like it!

You may wanna remove the shimmer from the skill tree image though; It's super distracting.

I dig, Chris! I'm not really familiar with The Masquerade, but it's clear you've done a good job blending them into the TES-verse.

Right, I wanted to mention that, too. Not a big fan of the shimmer.

I kind of can't without redoing the image, I had no idea what I was thinking.

This is a really cool concept... love the roleplay here.

Great job, Chris & company! :D

"... if I kill him, I not only get to rule another clan, and possibly turn them into Toreador, but, I can hopefully tidy up this castle." Loved that line, BTW xD

I will eventually continue/revamp new Vampire the Masquerade inspired builds, and fix up and expand on the ones I currently have
