Well, before the Classes event opened up, I wanted to get this baby rolling. I made this build in anticipation for, and after playing through Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. I wanted to recreate the fast paced, dual wielding combat, rushing in, using the environment to my advantage, and acting like ruthless sea dog, with a hidden heart of gold. This build utilizes Dawnguard and Dragonborn content. After a long wait, and tossing around various build names, I proudly present.....

    cooltext1641236245.png

Once, I sailed for Emperor and country. I was born to an Imperial navy officer and a mercenary, five years after the Great War, in Northpoint. I fell in love with a lovely Breton lass by the name of Mary, but, was drafted into the Imperial Navy a few weeks after we were married. For five long years, I served the Empire, raiding ships to fill Mede’s coffers. When my ship was run aground off a deserted island, forced down by Altmer brigands, and my remaining crew and I were forced to row back, I realized how much more lucrative and free I would be as a corsair, especially when we could barely keep a bag of Septims in my privateer days. My men and I boarded an Imperial combat ship, commandeered it, and christened it the Jackdaw. I would later kill a member of, and join the Assassini. After much of my crew died in our raiding, I took port, and headed towards Skyrim. Unfortunately, while passing through Darkwater Crossing, an Imperial patrol fell upon me, and here I am now, in a cart destined for the chopping block....

Race: Imperial, Voice of the Emperor is quite a useful ability when in a tight spot, and Imperial Luck, combined with a few later abilities and perks, quite lucrative later on. A second choice would be Breton, for their increased start in Speech.

Standing Stone-The Warrior or the Thief at first, then, I later on took the Lord, I mean, a (possibly extra), 25% magicka resistance, combined with a bit more AR, is quite handy. Another good one would be the Steed, if only for the extra 100 Carry Weight for more hauling more loot.  Once you get the Aetherial Crown (Which we will use with an Adept Hood, more on that later.), then your second stone will be the Lady.

Appearance: Make your character a dashing rogue, give him a scar or two. He has to be handsome, but still look like he has been on the sea for a while. I used Hadvar's hair.

Major Skills: One Handed, Light Armor, Speech, Lockpicking

Minor Skills: Archery, Sneak, Pickpocket, Enchanting.

Stat Placement-0/3/2 in Magicka, Health, and Stamina, this character isn’t a spell slinger, at least, not in this incarnation. The only spell used was Ignite, for a Special Move.

Shouts: Slow Time, Become Ethereal, Marked for Death, Elemental Fury, Unrelenting Force.

    cooltext1642453996.png

The Legendary Corsair was a very fun, fast paced build. Without Block, Restoration, or Alchemy, this build was heavily reliant on the Lord’s protection, as well as my enchantments, and the Lady’s added Health regeneration, as well as found or bought health potions, in order to see me through. Now, many of you say that I could feasibly use block, which, in an early edition of the build, I did, but decided against it in favor of quick, nimble movement.

The main foil of this build was Dragons. Due to the crossbow’s slow reload time, but heavy punching power, it was quite difficult, but rewarding, to hit a flying dragon, unless he was hovering in place. With a combination of found or crafted (Albeit weak), poisons, and my follower, I was able to bring it down quick enough.

    cooltext1642462471.png

One Handed-This is the main damage output of the build. Utilizing twin Blades Swords, in lieu of having access to cutlasses (If anyone could recommend any mods for that, thanks.), these two death dealers helped me slice and dice my way through enemies,  especially with the help of Slow Time, and Elemental Fury)

Armsman 5/5, Fighting Stance, Savage Strike, Critical Charge, Bladesman 1/3, Dual Fury 2/2, Dual Savagery.

Light Armor-Now, I didn’t perk this skill up too much, only until Unhindered. With this, I switched out between the white-ish Vampire Armor, and the College Robes, and used an Adept Hood.

Agile Defender 2/5, Custom Fit, Unhindered.

Speech-The Corsair is an intimidating scallywag, a charming rogue, and a fierce negotiation of price for his plunder. Plus, Bribery helped out when caught in some neerdowell activities.

Haggling 5/5, Bribery, Persuasion, Intimidation, Allure, Merchant, Investor, Fence.

Lockpicking-Breaking through chests and into homes, smells like a corsair to me, that, and a number of the perks allowed me to find more bounty.

Novice, Apprentice, Quick Hands, Golden Touch, Treasure Hunter, Locksmith, Adept, Wax Key.

Sneak-Note, this character is not a sneak archer. He combines his Assasini skills, with that of a pirate. After taking down one man, he quickly switches to melee mode. Sneak is also used tactically, analyszing the area before engaging. Stealth is bugged on consoles, so only get 2/5.

Stealth, 2/5, Muffled Movement, Backstab, Light Foot, Silent Roll, Silence.

Archery-Another lightly perked skill. This was, without mods to give me a flintlock (I’m still getting my good laptop fixed), to replicate firearms, and give me a powerful tool of ranged combat.

Overdraw 2/5, Eagle Eye, Steady Hand 2/2, Power Shot.

Pickpocket-This was used to get a little more pocket change, and to take out some enemies before the fight truly starts, and softening up the rest.

Light Fingers 2/5, Poisoned, Cutpurse, Extra Pockets, Misdirection, Perfect Touch.

Enchanting-This was something I RPed my Corsair dabbling in his spare time, and something that was used to increase my survivability.

Enchanter 5/5, Corpus Enchanter, Insightful Enchanter, Extra Effect.

    cooltext1642487908.png

Cutlasses (Blades Swords)-While, sadly, cutlasses are unavailable in an unmodded game, the Blades Swords, while being more so based on Katanas, are a close enough fit.

Assassini Robes-Looted from a slain Breton Assasini by the name of Duncan Walepole. College Robes/White Vampire Armor enchanted with Fortify Healing Rate and Fortify Stamina Regen. If you use mods, I’d suggest the Duelist’s Longcoat as a replacement, since I don't think Edward’s robes are available as a mod yet, Connor’s are though, as well as Altair's. There's a DB armor replacer that changes it for Ezio's Mentor Robes

Apprentice Hood-If you prefer your Assasini to go about hooded, this works oddly well with the College Robes (Both found in Radiant Rainment).

Duelist’s Vambraces-A holder for the Corsair’s Hidden Blades, having a metal liner to increase his hand to hand combat, as well as protecting his wrists in a swordfight. Fine Armguards enchanted with Fortify Unarmed and Fortify One-Handed.

Privateer’s Bounty-A lucky charm of yours that you’ve kept all your life. Gold Diamond Necklace enchanted with Fortify Barter, and Fortify Healing Rate.

Weathered Wedding Ring-A keepsake from your time with your wife. You had received notice that Mary, believing you dead or jailed, had married another man.

Gold Diamond Ring enchanted with Fortify Stamina Regen and Fortify Archery.

Worn Swashbuckler’s Boots-These old boots have been with you through Oblivion and back, you’ve reinforced them recently.

Dawnguard Boots (Or, if you don’t have Dawnguard/Don’t like the look, then feel free to wear Imperial Light Boots), enchanted with Fortify Sneak and Fortify Carry Weight.

Hidden Blades (Shivs)-Thin, retractable blades hidden in the Corsair’s armguards.

Flintlock-A Dwarven crossbow enhanced with steam cycling cylinders, allowing some more kick and added firepower. Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow enchanted with Fire Damage and Paralyze (1 second)

Blowpipe-A hollowed out reed bow given to you by a Bosmeri Assassini. Long Bow.

    The Aetherial Crown

    cooltext1642555866.png

Main Quest-Dragons burning down towns and trying to end the world would be bad for business, and you have an odd quirk of wanting to stay alive, so, ergo, you must put a stop to this threat.

Dawnguard-The sun being blotted out for all eternity and having an army of vampires draining Tamriel dry is one of the things on your “Do not want” checklist, and, it allows you to get access to advanced crossbows.

Dragonborn-A new port has been discovered on an island of almost perpetual ice, this could be a lucrative opportunity. Well, time to find out what these Cultist’s know about this “Solstheim.” Also, allows you to get Dunmer clothes.

The Thieves Guild-A band of cuthroats after my own heart. But, they’ve fallen on hard times, I can remedy that easily.

The Dark Brotherhood-You joined up with a splinter group of Assasini, nutters that worship some void known as Sithis, I’ve worked with worse, and atleast they pay well.

No Stone Unturned-Finding rare gems, and gaining a perk allowing you to find even more valuable gemstones in chests? Yes please!

Civil War (Stormclaoks)-With the Empire booted out out of Skyrim, and the Civil War ended, you should have an easier time raiding ships.

Lost to the Ages-You have read of lost Dwemer treasure and artifacts buried away, this an opportunity I cannot let up. http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group/glitches/forum/topics/in-game-exploit-glitch-hoods-with-circlets-in-dragonborn Thank you Knight-Paladin Robert.

Rise in the East-A rival pirate crew thinks they can steal my business opportunity?! Well, as long as I’m getting paid, and I get rid of a rival crew, I can kill two birds with one stone.

    cooltext1642589768.png

-Live on a ship, such as the Katriah, my personal choice, or a ship mod.

-Start off raiding small villages and shipwrecks.

-Be courteous to the ladies or men, depending on your character’s romantic preferences.

-Treat your crew with respect, give them good gear, food, and some pay.

-When you enter an inn or tavern, sit down and chug a few bottles Skooma, Ale, or Grog (Blue Mountain Flower+Wheat+Imp Stool).

    cooltext1663924164.png

Cannonfire-The Corsair lobs a sphere of flammable liquid at his foes, before unleashing a barrage of fire and smoke.

Weakness of Fire Poison+Ignite+Flintlock+Exploding Dwemer Bolt of Fire.

Ramming Speed-With a burst of speed, the Corsair barrels into his enemies like a ship rams another. His blades spin about, coated in venom, as he hacks his foes to bits.

    Dragon Aspect+Whirlwind Sprint+Frostbite Venom/Damage Health +The Lady Stone+The Lord Stone

cooltext1692837879.png(I will hyperlink later, since the Nexus is blocked on my school’s laptop)

    Duelist’s Longcoat-Adds a longcoat, both Grey and Duelist’s, that matches Edward’s outfit.

Immersive Weapons/Weapons of the Third Era-I forget which, but I know one, or maybe both, add Cutlasses, one of which is named the Captain’s Cutlass, which works well with the build.

The Northern Cardinal-This is an amazing home mod, that adds a nice ship/home to Skyrim.

Dev Aveza/The Asteria-Dwemer airship mods that add a player home in the sky. Better yet, with the Dev Aveza, you get to pilot the ship.

Haytham Kenway’s Apparel-Why am I including a mod to wear the clothes of Edward’s son? Two reasons, one, I like the look, and two, you can unlock Haytham’s outfit in AC4.

Flintlock Pistol-Adds a craftable, dual weldable pistol. Uses staff animation.

    Thanks for Reading!

Sweet build. It's actually kind of funny that you posted this today, since I just started a build based off of Shay from Assassins Creed Rogue.

Hi, CB Host Billy Mays here with a comment!  For somebody that used to tell people their tags were wrong or that tags were necessary, I'd assume you would know the correct tags.   The group tags don't need a colon (just the space), unlike the race and rank tags.

Funny enough, that is one of my next ideas.

Oh right, its been awhile, they have been edited

Oh, I've actually played a guy very ideal to this. I remember one particular time when my guy got completely wasted and he did something... inappropriate to a dead forsworn woman. Um.. forget I mentioned it.

I'll have to roleplay a similar guy soon. Too many non-pirate builds aren't good for health. *going full pirate mode*

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me ;) Nicely done, sir!

I have to give a like here. Only slightly negative thing I'd have to say is that the pictures mostly have modded equipment in them, as a PC player I'm not complaining and I've been trying to find a decent ship mod for ages so thanks.

No no no no no no no no! You done it all wrong! This is no assassin, this is a mere copy of Kenway, and not a really good one, brought into Skyrim forcefully. I mean... It's good... I guess.. but this is no assassin from the Assassin order at the least. Even if you tried to recreate Kenway, rather than trying to create one of the Assassins, which most likely you did, you missed big time on motives, personality and as far as I know (my experience with Black Flag is small), battle tactics are wrong. When I saw assassin creed based (I started thinking about building one myself a few days back) I have rushed to check, but I was very disappointed. There is nothing about the Creed, NOTHING. Even Black Flag haven't fell so low. Your explanations about why you take on some of the quest... I don't know... Again I played for really short time with Edward Kenway in Black Flag, so maybe I'm wrong... But assassins are all about undermining the Templars. Assassins represent Free Will and protection of innoccence by means of selective murders, whilist Templars are about controlling the Free Will of the masses and achievement of peace through decieving, and brainwashing. I'm sorry, but I was disappointed. I can see you put time and effort into this build and way to go for that, but next time when you base your character on one that already exist do some research about it and her world.
