    Thanks!

I've been playing a one-handed/torch style build on my own Vigilant character (I have a mod that adds robey-heavy armor though, so it is kind of cheating). Being able to burn infidels to break their guard is not only effective, but entertaining.

I'm curious how you'd handle the Meridia quest?

Using a torch in the offhand is a good idea. In fact, I think I'll make a note of it in the build. For Meridia, I completed her quest and tossed Dawnbreaker into the fires of the Aetherium Forge. While she does hate the undead, she's still a Daedric Prince, and should be treated as such.

I play Skyrim as a Vigilant, using few mods out there and base my playthrough on this build and roleplay. Thank you for this great build! I also wonder why is Meridia not included in the section about Daedric quests? My personal opinion is that Vigilants find ALL Daedra bad, so Meridia as well. I think doing her quest is possible and in the end Vigilant would take the Dawnbreaker and lock it somewhere. Using any daedric item or weapon is out of question, even Dawnbreaker.

Yeah, I tossed Dawnbreaker into the fires of the Aetherium Forge, same as all the other artifacts; I just didn't mention Meridia specifically because her quest follows the usual Get Daedric Artifact > Toss in Aetherium Forge process that this character usually follows when it comes to Daedric quests.

There is a dead Vigilant in Mara's Eye Pond that has a great set of starting gear for a new vigilant.
