Mine wouldn't, but I can understand if some people would like to because it's the most prominent anti-undead weapon. It depends on how you justify it when roleplaying.

It's a lot harder to make builds than I thought while lurking. ^^'

I actually did that. I took a look at the "Infiltrator, "Obsidian Sentinel" and "Valenwood Ranger" builds while writing my own. I understand that I wrote a lot more explanation than I should've when it comes to roleplaying and perhaps race, but I tried to highlight all the important information so that people who aren't interested in the lore can just get what they want.
But maybe you could give more details on what requires more explanation and what requires less?

I've done as you requested and I've updated my build. Would this be better?

It's easy to get carried away with explaining, especially if you're enthusiastic about your build or worried people will say there's not enough explanation, or both. You have a nice build idea with a clear goal in mind, I can tell, but it's hard to see that amidst all the text. Read over the build again and take out whatever's unnecessary. Tell us exactly what we need to do and why doing so is appropriate for the build, then stop. For example, in the very last paragraphs you could've said: "Avoid feeding on innocents, to do so would be to mimic his parents' killers. Still, it is up to you to decide the extent of his morality." Two sentences to say what you did in 20 odd. Nice build though. It's obvious you tried hard to impress and the build ticks all the requirements, if in a slightly cliched manner. I'll give it my +1 and good luck with future builds.

I love this! Both the build and the character are very interesting. I'll be sure to give this a spin once my Skyrim is stable again. (Too many mods XD).

This is a really great guide in my opinion I've always made dark paladin type classes but they always started as the dark paladin, never starting out as the traditional paladin. I like the process you take with the quests and then the transition to the dark paladin once you trigger the Dawnguard questline which fits perfectly in my opinion.

I have a question for the quests regarding the different quests, you mention not doing the quest you get in Whiterun about retrieving Amren's sword from the bandits, how would that be bad for a paladin you are going out and retrieving a stolen item and returning it to its owner, or do you see the quest in another light since Amren was once a mercenary like his father?

Other than that I find this build very interesting and can't wait to try it out myself soon, just need to decide on a race lol I'm thinking Nord, I usually go Imperial for paladin type classes but the Nord seems like a welcome change for obvious lore reasons and what not.

    +1

I love Paladin builds and for a first build this is really well done. I would work on expanding the roleplay of the Paladin's dark side and the overall layout of the build. Maybe some gameplay screenshots and such.

This really shows promise and although there are already a number of Paladin builds from Henson and several other members (sorry, I can't think of your names guys this instant), this build essentially goes to the roots of the Paladin roleplay class. Well done!

This. Is. The EXACT build I was looking for, thank you so much!
