Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have the Dawnguard DLC, I bought recently the Legendary Edition and have only just played a sword and board character fully through. I didn't realize there were three new summoning spells. I haven't really focused on a conjuration character until now.

Well, I think I may give your character build a try. I may have some questions at a later date.

    Thanks again!

Actually, they are kind of hard to find. The three I mentioned are in the Soul Cairn along with Arvak. The build is a lot of fun and gets really powerful once you 'ascend'. You'll see though :)

What's the effectiveness of a summoned Dragon Priest? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Conjure_Dragon_Priest

This was another summon I've been meaning to try out. Unfortunately, it can only be summoned by wearing the Konahriik dragon priest mask. Wearing the mask would negate the Mage Armor perk so I left it out of the build.

I haven't tested it but I bet the conjured dragon priest doesn't affect summoning capacity. If you wanted to use it, you could Enchant Fortify Smithing gear and take a a fortify Smithing potion to temper it. Do the same with the Ancient Falmer Boots and Gauntlets and drop the Mage Armor perks altogether.

I did some research on the Konahrik mask. I'm kinda doubting it is worth it.

It's a bit odd that this summoned dragon priest is so rarely mentioned and hardly has any screenshots. Hmmm...

If this guy can only be summoned very rarely under extreme conditions, I don't think he's really worth the trouble.

Let me know if you find anything interesting.

That's pretty much why I left it alone. It could make for it's own unique build but I didn't want to tack it on to the High Summoner for a rare chance to summon a dragon priest.

Wow I really like this build! I like everything that uses conjuration anyway, but this build is especially awsome!

Note: You mentiioned the restoration potion trick at the end. I tried it on some of my previous characters but it seems the boost is permanent only on rings and amulets. The boost to my other stuffs' enchatments ended when the potion's effect wore off. Is it just for me?

Are you checking your equipment's stats or your active effects in the Magic menu? Most equipment will drop to their origninal values in the equipment menu but if you check active effects, the boost will remain.

I am testing this as we speak and it is interesting to note that the amulet was the only apparel to not be boosted by Fortify Restoration potions. I think it has something to do with the Fortify Conjuration effect. EDIT: Strangely enough, it is the Fortify Conjuration effect that isn't affected by Restoration potions. I tested an item with Fortify Alteration, Fortify Health, and Fortify Conjuration. The latter was the only one unable to gain the boost.

I only checked the effects in the inventory. I'll check it in the active effects in the afternoon.

The fortify conjuration should be affected by the potion, as it is a restoration effect. If it isn't, it can be a bug, like for example, if you use a dagger, it is not affected by the fortify one handed effect (neither potion nor enchantment), but is affected by fortify archery.

I have a theory that Fortify Marksman potions aren't actually a bug. In theory, if you gain skill in accuracy you would be better at hitting a target no matter what weapon you're holding. A Fortify 1-H potion on the other hand specifically increases one-handed capabilities. And I tested Fortify Conjuration enchantments and Restoration potions on a few different pieces of equipment. The enchantment may have accidentally been flagged as a Conjuration effect instead. When I get the time, I'm going to raise enchanting and test whether or not placing the Health enchantment changes this oddity.
