    The Dragon of the West

Within his family a trait that had passed down for years, was the innate control of the element of Fire. Not merely conjuring flames using the power of Aetherius, the family always had control over even flames of Nirn. Such power was believed to be passed down from the Dragon's Blood that the family claimed to have from Ancestor's long past. One man was born in a time when dragons were believed to be gone, a time when the family's power had waned in High Rock, a time for change.

The young man was the first of many years to have a true control of Flame like that of the Ancestors, and so he was tutored, and trained to harness his gift to the highest extent, alongside an education of warfare, politics, languages, and tea. He was raised for command and leadership, but above all, to be a master of flames. Before he would lead anyone however he went off to learn more of his ancestors power. What he found he could not believe.

A Dragon, none had been seen for more years than he could count, and yet in finding the dragon, he found himself as well. Instead of fighting the dragon and killing it for more power, he spoke with it, learned from it, and from this came a true understanding of Fire or Yol. After a few years he left the mountainous border of High Rock and Skyrim to return home.

On his return, and showing his newfound prowess which he acclaimed to having found a hermetical teacher, somewhere in the Alik'r Desert, he was told by his lord grandfather, now older and grey, to join the war effort against the Dominion. He did so, with his brother and father, two accomplished Fire Elementalists in their own right, though far more brutal and viscious.

Together they formed a squad, made entirely of like men and women with abilities similar to them. They fought the Aldmeri in the land of Hammerfell, assisting the Redguard Warriors in their defense, and protecting their land's southern border. They were victorious, yet a treaty was signed, and they were ordered to leave. While his brothers did so with their men, the now General, who had become to be known as the Dragon of the West, refused, and so fought on as the Aldmeri continued to attempt to control Hammerfell.

In the end however, he was captured, and for a few years sent to imprisonment in the Thalmor Embassy in Skyrim to break him, he refused, and attempted escape many times, finally succeeding and getting to Darkwater Crossing. However an Imperial ambush led to his recapture, and now on his way to his execution.

Yet is it his destiny to die, or is there a greater destiny for the old general...?

The General, "Dragon of the West", earned his unique name from his powerful Flame attacks and his ability to breathe fire as if a Dragon himself. He will match forth, openly, cloaked in power and flame, wearing the armor of his youth, burning his enemies or even turning them to dust as he marches on the battlefield. He is even able to reflect attacks away using barriers created from his lessons with his Master. He utilizes strong defenses and powerful flames and even at times lightning.

"Lightning is a pure expression of firebending without aggression. It is not fueled by rage or emotion the way other firebending is. Some call lightning the cold-blooded fire. It is precise and deadly... To perform the technique requires peace of mind."

His power is nearly unmatched in the battlefield, and yet, his is also a powerful healer, having helped many of his men survive wounds that should have sent them to the void, this aids him in battle when things turn bad. However this has its limits, he is not immortal, and he is old. His candle now burns low and hot, and he wishes to retire, to see peace returned to the Empire, and then to find himself, hearth, home, and family so that he might see his golden years in peace and harmony like his days when he trained with the "Master" of Fire.

    Gameplay

The best way to utilize the build is to use the combination of Atronach Stone, Heavy Armor, and Alteration with powerful Fire and Lightning Destruction Spells. Flame Breath is a signature move, and great when facing a large number of enemies in front of you. When surrounded Flame/Lightning Cloak then Fire/Lightning Storm in quick succession. And should your Magicka run dry, or should you like to face the enemy head on, use whatever left to flesh spell or cloak, and then pummel them with your armored fists. This build tanks through almost any foe, and focuses on sending them back as much power as you should wish, whether it be melee or ranged, or somewhere in between. With the slight dip into Enchanting and Restoration, you are provided a wealth of magicka to use so that rarely will you run out completely of magicka, and you can continue to burn and blast the enemy.

    Roleplay

You has no hatred within himself for any particular group, while he may dislike the Thalmor, his years of training have taught him that hatred is for those who hate the world.

Even when imprisoned he never gives up, when fighting an enemy he does not lose hope,

"You must never give into despair. Allow yourself to slip down that road and you surrender to your lowest instincts. In the darkest times, hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength."

A former Imperial General, and yet an aging man who wishes to retire, he will seek to end the conflict one way or another, only his travels in Skyrim will tell him what side he truly believes in.

He does not care for the Dark Brotherhood or the Thieves Guild as they are organizations of lawbreakers, and murderers. While he may not hate these institutions he is unlikely to aid them in any fashion.

His wish is to own a nice tea shop somewhere in a beautiful city with a loving wife and child to come home to. When the war is finished or even during the war, find a home, a nice wife, and (have a) child to love and raise them well. As well try to find a shop to use as a nice tea shop, Inns will do nicely.

He is very helpful even to complete strangers, so any stranger who needs his help (save for those doing illegal businesses) he will always aid them for those breaking the law he will try to guide them, and if necessary call attention to their dark acts, but never help them complete such tasks.

    Special Moves

    Dragon of the West

Breathing in, he focuses, remembering his training, and then with a roar like a dragon he breathes forth flames with the might of a Dragon.

Dragon Aspect + Flame Breath (Dragonborn Flame and Meditation: Yol)

    Wrath of the Dragon

In times of extreme danger he uses this technique. Channeling his anger, the flames begin to cover eveything around him, burning any who would stand in his wake, leaving nothing untouched.

Flame Cloak + Fire Storm + Wall of Flames all around.

    The Flow of Lightning

Using the purest form of his techniques he channels his flames into lightning sending channeling it into all his foes in a flow, and should any get close, the sheer force sends them flying back.

    Whirlwind Cloak + Chain Lightning

    Channeling the Storm

The most dangerous of his abilities, he channels the energy of a storm, blasting away all opponents, turning some to dust instantly. Flowing through his body he becomes the center of a powerful storm.

Lightning Cloak + Lightning Storm + Wall of Storms all around (Disintegrate)

    Last Thoughts

This build was indeed heavily inspired by my Uncle Iroh, whose prowess is shown as both a firebender and a lightning bender, with a signature ability that seemed to match quite well to Skyrim. The Blades' armor looked very similar to me as the Fire Nation's armor, and you can achieve his look with the largest body size, and messing with the settings on the Breton Race. This build is meant to be played with Destruction as the main weapon, with Fists as a backup, and Enchanting to boost them both. This build can be quite fun, with a combination of the Roleplay and the Combat bringing the two sides of this wonderful character together in Skyrim. It can be challenging at first, but once you get the hang of it, the flow of combat will feel fast paced, fun, yet not too easy. You can use this build to make the other firebenders, and have a different Roleplay experience, a few perks might need to be changed, but its all about having fun so go for it. Have fun with this build as always, and comments and critiques are of course helpful.

If you have the time I ask that you please read, comment, and play my other builds as well:

One of the images was broken from the original ning site. Other than that, all images have been restored for this build. While I try my best to keep the formatting as close to the original as possible, there are some unavoidable differences as a result of differing platforms... for this I apologize.

Also, please feel free to remove the 'Restored' banner at the end of the build--I put it there as a courtesy to let the reader know that the build has been worked on by somebody other than its original creator without his or her knowlege.
