    The Forgotten Knight

You were once a great hero, a defender of the innocent, keeper of the peace. You bore duty like a mountain and death as a feather; Fear was nothing to you and the greatest foe but a simple obstruction. You were a Knight of Talos, until the Aldmeri Dominion destroyed your order.

“They descended like the night, coming in waves of screams and horror: like demons they were. They never faced you like an honorable foe; quick sticks in the back, ‘tween the plates and folds of our armor. I saw Father fall, four of the cruel yellow arrows protruding from his helm, his blade dry – He was the best of us, the master of our craft and there he lay, blood pooling. I ran. I ran like the coward I was – no, am. I am such a fool…” – Gerald, Last of the Order

You are the coward that fled the Aldmeri Dominion when they descended upon the Knights of Talos hours after the White-Gold Concordant was signed. Many have forgotten the Knights of Talos… It’s time for that to change…

    The Build

So many of you are thinking this will be another knight build we’ve all seen before because I totally thought of that too when I was making this, and so the changes began. First, every knight build I’ve seen has some kind of magic. Be it restoration, illusion, destruction, etc. I did away with all that, but not entirely. Yes I will use magic but in the form of scrolls and only scrolls and not very often. Second, Most knight builds don’t really use Alchemy, so I decided to use that too. With that said here we go!

Race: Nord works best for the lore.

    Armor: Steel Plate or Ebony

Weapons: I like the Nordic weapons (the DB ones) A sword or Axe in right hand and Dagger in left.

Major Skills: One Handed, Heavy Armor, Smithing, and Alchemy.

    Minor Skills: Speech, Archery, Lockpicking.

    Stat Spread: 0-2-1

    Perk Spread: Level 20

                                 Level 40

                                 Level 60

Stone: Warrior, 4/7s of our skills are under this stone.

Shouts: Disarm, Elemental Fury, Unrelenting Force, and Whirlwind Sprint.

Quests: Stormcloak Rebellion, Dawnguard, Main Story, Dragonborn.

    Role play/ Immersion

The basis is that you're a Forgotten Knight, your Chivalrous and kind, Honest and Pure. Yet you've lived so long in the wilds hiding that your beliefs have 'grayed' some.

"The world is wicked. I saw that upon the day of my reckoning, the birth in me of the Coward. To that end all must be punished, no person can have mercy, nor quarter. The rich must fall and the poor must pay... all must pay..."

You can steal, rob, kill, bribe, extort, basically anything to meet your ends: Revenge on the Thalmor. No one is safe, no one is innocent until proven other wise. Your a knight on the edge of sanity, a little mad if you will. But as your quest progresses you learn to trust, to love, to care for the people you meet. To see the devastation that wasn't isolated to your Order alone.

So I made some fun rules that made this build so much fun to me.

Expert or higher Difficulty. I started on expert and it felt easy with superior Steel gear so I changed to master.

Only 100 arrows total. You’re a warrior, not an archer. Shoot a few times depending on range then hack away.

Try to solve problems without menu. I tried to get through most if not all encounters without using the full menu and very minimal quick menu time.

The hidden chests in Solitude and Dawnstar. So I love using these for starter money (mainly for houses and such) but I limited myself to using them only once. My ideology behind this is that the Knights left behind hidden stashes of items for the traveling Knights.

Food. You can’t eat raw food, you must cook it and every 14 hours in game you must eat at least one meal and sleep a minimum of 4 hours. (sleeping only occurs in a bed, Exclusions are in dungeons that take a long time in game)

No exploits. So hard to do, especially with alchemy and smithing in the mix.

    Game play

You’re a warrior, start combat with an arrow or two, poisoned if you want to ‘thin the herd’, as the enemy closes draw your weapons and begin the slaughter of power strikes. Target mages and heavy two handers first as these guys can really mess you up fast. Next on our priorities are archers, an unattended archer can ruin your day, generally I memorize where the archer is and LOS him while I dispatch his buddies. All in all, this guy is pretty straight forward, shoot then kill.

    Abilities

Death Rush – Use the Thu’um to appear before your foes in a blink, wreaking havoc and fear in their ranks before they can mount the offense.

Requires: Whirlwind Sprint, Battle Cry (nord only)

Defend the Faith –  Down a Potion of Fortify One Handed and Weaken your foes numbers with Unrelenting Force before sprinting in with Critical Charge.

Requires: Fortify One Handed potion, Unrelenting Force, Critical charge.

Stand Ready – Down a Potion of Fortify Heavy Armor and use the Thu’um to enhance your arms, let your enemies come to you.

Requires: Fortify Heavy Armor potion, Elemental Fury, Savage Strike.

So that's my build, Constructive Criticism appreciated :D

This build is, in my opinion horrible... if by horrible, i mean REALLY good. This is so well made, the lore is well-written, the special attacks are unique to the build which i like, i love the holdbacks you have placed upon yourself. Only one more thing to say... +1

EDIT: One thing to mention, maybe you should also do the Blades quest where you rebuild them and pretend that is you starting up your order once again

Lol btw i'm a fantasy writer at heart, thats why the lore was so well written. I could make an entire short story out of this one character, i kinda did to get in the groove, its awesome that i can PLAY him too :D

All images have been restored for this build. While I try my best to keep the formatting as close to the original as possible, there are some unavoidable differences as a result of differing platforms... for this I apologize.

Also, please feel free to remove the 'Restored' banner at the end of the build--I put it there as a courtesy to let the reader know that the build has been worked on by somebody other than its original creator without his or her knowlege.
