Block stacks, but it only goes up to 40% more blocking instead of 100% more, so unless you are using a two handed weapon, it's better not to spend the extra perks  and I hope so man! It's got potential!

alright, thanks for telling me about that. currently working on the revised version and hopefully people enjoy it more.

Incorrect. Block actually increases in increments of 10%, in-game description is wrong.

4/5 block is necesarry for about half the shields out there, and considering you won't have 100 block until late game it is worth considering taking the last perk to reach the block cap (85%). At 60 block skill with 4/5 you'll at the very most have ~82% block, but that's with a Daedric shield.

Are you sure about that/can you show me proof? I've looked around a little bit, and I have found nothing saying that the game is wrong

Well, it's here first of all. http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Block#Skill_Perks

Now if you take a look in the creation kit under the Shield Wall perks you will notice that the multiplier is,

    • 1/5: 1.10 instead of 1.20
    • 2/5: 1.20 instead of 1.25
    • 3/5: This is correct at 1.30
    • 4/5: 1.40 instead of 1.35
    • 5/5: 1.50 instead of 1.40

This has also been confirmed by in-game tests (that's how I was able to come up with the formula posted in this post).

huh interesting, I don't have creation kit so I had no clue). If you aren't going for the armor cap though I would still just go for the Block 1/5, just personal preference
