Before we delve into the build, I just want everyone to know that this is my first build on the Skyrim Blog, and any feedback is greatly appreciated. I enjoyed this very much, and would like to do it more in the future. So whatever you have to say about it, be it good or bad, will be taken into account for future builds.

So without further adieu, may I present to you:

    MORGOTH BAUGLIR

A little backstory for those of you who either don't know about Lord of the Rings or haven't read The Silmarillion:

In the beginning, Eru Ilúvitar, he who created all things, created divine spirit beings called the Ainur. He showed to them a theme, His theme, and they were to orchestrate a Great Music for Him. All of the Ainur created one brilliant harmony.... save one. Melkor, later called Morgoth Bauglir, was gifted with the greatest knowledge and power of all the Ainur, but he was interested in his own theme, and he created Discord, and his song was great and terrible. But Ilúvitar silenced and shamed Melkor, and Melkor became spiteful and cruel at heart for his rejection. When the world was made, and the Ainur descended upon the Kingdom of Arda and became the Valar, they created works of art, but Melkor destroyed them. When the Elves were made, one named Fëanor created the most beautiful and pure and holy gems in existence, gems that can purge and burn Darkness and Evil, and they were named the Silmarils. Melkor became jealous of these fine works, and through cunning and deception, he stole away with the Silmarils and encased them in his dark crown of iron (however, being an Evil being, his hand was burned). When learning of this treachery, this rape of his craft, Fëanor damned Melkor to be known as Morgoth Bauglir, The Black Foe of the World. And Morgoth finally made war against the earth and Valar for the rest of time, and forever shall be evil.

Sorry for the long winded introduction, but it helps get an idea of what is wrong with this character. As Morgoth Bauglir, you are the origin of evil in the world. Sauron was but your lieutenant, a Maiar who allied himself to your cause of total domination of the Kingdom of Arda and the world. It is your duty to corrupt the minds and bend the wills of al those to your service, and if you can't succeed in this task, then you must destroy them. You are cunning, and you have the silveriest tongue of anyone. You can summon forth your dark spirits and minnions to aid you, and, if you must get your hands dirty in a fight, you can make use of Grond, The Hammer of the Underworld.

RECOMMENDED QUESTS: The Main Quest (can't have Alduin destroying your future kingdom, can you?), The College of Winterhold questline, Darkbrotherhood questline, any evil Daedric Prince quest, and The Black Star.

RECOMMENDED RACE: High Elf, mainly due to the Highborn ability and their starting stats in Illusion.

STANDING STONE: Either The Lord or The Shadow stones, Lord is utility, Shadow is roleplaying (Morgoth could escape hidden from the sight of almost all if it pleased him).

    MAJOR SKILLS

Conjuration: You can summon to your aid any dark spirit or demon from the Void. Morgoth brought to him Balrogs, Orcs, and even Dragons. Since none of these can be summoned by Conjuration, you'll have to settle for Atronachs and Dremora Lords. Any Atronach will do, although Flame Atronachs play the visual role the best, and all Dremora look evil (and the same).

Illusion: You bend wills and manipulate minds to your service. What better way to control the minds of your enemies than with Illusion magic? I'd personally recommend Frenzy spells the most, since the other two disable enemies in a way that prevents them from fighting for you (Calm takes guys out of the fight, and Fear sends your enemies running). However, Calm can still be useful for RPing, like using your sweet words to lull the enemy into a false sense of security.

Two-Handed: This one was a tough choice, since Grond was a hammer, but was able to be used with a shield, making it one-handed. In the end, I decided that the warhammer fitted the character the best. This will be for when enemies get too close for comfort or you just want to crush some poor fool's skull. In short, the warhammer will be your main form of damaging your foes.

Heavy Armor: This is for bodily protection (obviously), and you won't be using any Alteration to supplement for armor rating, so Heavy Armor is the best choice.

    MINOR SKILLS

Alchemy: This will be your only form of healing, as there was no such thing as "healing magic" in the world Ëa (aka Middle-earth) in the same likeness of Skyrim's healing magic. Also, Alchemy can be used for vicious  poisons to corrupt and kill your opposition.

Smithing: The only smith worthy enough to create your dark visage and tools is you! Only up to Arcane Smithing and Daedric Smithing should you place any perk points, as there is no light armor required and Dragonbone armor is useless to one such as yourself.

Speech: You can corrupt minds to your cause without Illusion magic, you know. Only Haggling perks should be taken, as I have never needed a perk in Persuasion or Intimidation to succeesfully get your way, just a higher Speech skill.

Enchanting: What is a Dark Lord's armor and weapon without badass powers tied into them? Just put points into the Enchanter and Soul Squeezer perks, as well as going up to Extra Effect.

    STATS: MAGICKA: 40%/ HEALTH: 50%/ STAMINA: 10%

     PERK SPREAD: Level 35 | Level 60

    Fingolfin vs. Morgoth

    FINAL LOADOUT

GEAR: Cuirass of the Dark Lord (-25% Conjuration, +40 Health), Boots of Utumno (+40% two handed damage, -25% Illusion), Gauntlets of Angband (+40% two handed damage, +62 stamina), Ring of Mental Enslavement (-25% Illusion, +62 Magicka), Pendant of Demonic Aid (-25% Conjuration, +30% resist magic), Dark Helm of Morgoth (+62 Magicka, +100% magic regeneration), and finally Grond (Fiery Soul Trap, +36 fire damage).

    STATS: MAGICKA 240| HEALTH 300| STAMINA 160

    A FEW RPing NOTES

-You try to keep your true dark form hidden. No wearing your imposing Daedric armor in the cities when you are trying to blend in!

-Level up Destruction magic, but don't ever put perks into it. Level it up like Mason's Arcane Archer or Ponty's Soulknife. This will give you enhanced charges on Grond.

-Never do anything good unless it is a lie or it benefits you. You are Morgoth! You don't bow to morality or what is perceived as good. You are in it for yourself.

-Followers are a little redundant with you summoning and will-bending, but if you really want a follower, you can. They have to be evil, though.

By the end, you'll look pretty similar to that.

    SPECIAL MOVES:

THE DARK ARMY: You call your armies to you in combat, both wooing the enemy to your side and conjuring demons to battle. You then shout to the skies, calling to you Glaurung, The Great Worm. (Summon Atronachs/ Dremora Lords, Dual Cast Frenzy, Call Dragon.)

HIT AND RUN: You sneak upon your foes unseen, smash one with Grond, then turn the rest against each other while going invisible once again. (Invisibility, Sneak attack, Frenzy, Invisibility again.)

FIRES OF ANGBAND: You cast flammable oil upon your opponent, then set them alight with the fires of your malice. (weakness to fire poison, Fire Breath.)

DAGOR DAGORATH: You have come to bring to pass the destruction of the world. You bring forth your armies and send them all into a frenzy, strengthening yourself, then finishing off with enveloping the world in fire. (The Dark Army, Highborn, Scroll of Fire Storm.)

And that about does it! The world shall tremble when you take what is rightfully yours!

I personally do not care for evil builds, and I do not play non-ES builds.  However, dispite these complaints, the build is sound and the presentation is good; so +1.  Gratz on your first build and I look forward to your future builds.

Thanks! I'm glad to hear it. I also plan to make some Elder Scrolls lore-based characters and plenty of goody-two-shoes type characters, so have no fear about that.

Loved the Lord of the Rings, liked ths build. Just as a thought: at a high level of Conuration, why not a pair of high-level Orc thralls? A pair of Bandit Chiefs or Marauder would work.

This was the first character build I ever tried, and it was amazing! I loved sneaking around in full armor and a warhammer, then popping up out of nowhere like " what's up? Oh just my hammer to your skull!", needless to say, this build was enjoyable for me, especially since it was from The Silmarillion, one of my all-time favorite books, and it was of my favorite character! Well that's all, I'm out!

The idea behind this build is nice but it doesn't deserve the likes as I'm sure it wasn't play tested. As ArcanusLex mentioned, you cannot create those boots and gloves, fortify illusion (and any spell school) cannot be put on boots, fortify stamina cannot be put on gloves, and the mana regen on the helmet will not be 100, maybe 45% or something like that. Nice try

Love it!   I'm probably biased though. +1
