Visions from the Hist called you and your brethren to the Gates of Oblivion, ordering your attack upon it's incomprehensible fathoms. Many of your egg-brothers were slaughtered by the grotesque creatures on the other side, but your connection to the Hist, physical prowess, and knowledge of magic kept you alive, if only barely.

After the gates closed, survival was not your only problem. How were you going to get home?

For what seemed like years, you were mocked by twisted visions, fragments of time and space cast to you from Nirn, from the Hist. They were of a dark library, a scroll, and a great winged shadow. Inquiries imposed upon the daedra in the form of torture led you to believe the realm of Hermaeus Mora is where your answers lie. Further torture pushed one to take you there.

Apocrypha, the endless library where all forbidden knowledge is kept. If you were to decipher your visions, it would be here that you did it. The texts had no titles, and all shared the same black cover. The water, if it could be called that, was a vile green, and as deadly as it was disgusting. One could go mad there, and many ghosts wandering it's halls had.

Your search eventually revealed that an Elder Scroll could hold the magic to get you back to Nirn. Of course, being the library of all forbidden knowledge, Apocrypha held an Elder Scroll within it's walls. Using the scroll, a simple ritual cast you adrift in space and time, into a sea of visions and nightmares. Among the visions, the great shadow.

"Aam? Wo kos hio joor? Kos hio het wah kos saviiki?"

A bump in the road jolts you awake. Where are you? It's so cold... Is that snow?

(We all know how it goes from there.)

      The Build:

      Race: Argonian

      Stone: Atronach

Major Skills: One or Two-handed, Archery, Restoration, Alteration

      Minor Skills: Conjuration, Destruction

Armor: Light or Heavy, whichever you prefer. I have used both for two different versions of this build.

Weapons: Bound bow, unenchanted one or two-handed weapon, destruction spells.

      Shouts: Become Ethereal, Elemental Fury.

Necessary Quests: College of Winterhold (for Equilibrium), Main quests (see notes), and all of the Black Book quests if you have downloaded Dragonborn.

Necessary Perks: Restoration: Novice-Master Restoration, Regeneration. Conjuration: Oblivion Binding. Alteration: Aim for the atronach perk.

Necessary Spells: Equilibrium, Bound Bow, Banish/Command/Expell Daedra, Guardian Circle, your choice of destruction spells.

      Special moves:

Child of the root. Requirements: "Flesh" spell, Histkin, Unenchanted Melee weapon, Elemental fury. Use your connection to the Hist to turn yourself into an impervious frenzy of steel.

Power Well. Requirements: Guardian circle, Histkin, Equilibrium, Destruction spell of choice. (While inside the Guardian circle, your atronach abilities will absorb magicka, and you will be healed at the same time. Take this time to continuously cast destruction spells. If you need more magicka, use Equilibrium. Make sure to activate Histkin if you are draining your health too fast.) Your time in Apocrypha has given you the knowledge to open a wellspring of magicka that boosts your arcane talents considerably.

      Level 30 Perk spread:

Archery: Overdraw(2/5), Eagle Eye, Critical Shot(1/3), Power Shot

      Two-Handed: Barbarian(3/5), Champion's Stance, Limbsplitter(1/3)

Conjuration: Novice Conjuration, Mystic Binding, Soul Stealer

Destruction: Novice-Apprentice Destruction, Augmented (element of your choice)(1/2)

      Restoration: Novice-Master Restoration, Regeneration, Recovery(2/2)

      Alteration: Novice-Apprentice Alteration

(This perk spread is from my first character, who was lost due to save issues. It will remain here until I get to a respectable level again.)

Notes: Your time in oblivion has made you despise daedra, atronachs, and the like (hence the banish spells and bound bow), but not so much that you won't use their weapons and armor if it will save you. However, under no circumstances should you willingly accept to be their champion. Also, if you haven't guessed, the lore of this build suggests that this character released Alduin from his banishment in his act of freeing himself. Because he is back on his beloved Nirn, he would do anything to stay there. Even if it means he has to attempt to kill the beast he released upon the world.

P.S. When Alduin spoke in dragon language, he said "Hmm? Who are you mortal? Are you here to be my savior?".

EDIT: The first picture came from here. The second one I found randomly, so I apologize if it is not public domain. If it needs to be taken down, I will gladly do so. I apologize for not adding much this time, but I have started a new character on this build. I want to include many things from Dragonborn in the next update, as I own it but have not played it yet. It suits this character perfectly, so I'm pretty excited. Please do not hesitate to suggest ways I may improve the build. Thank you very much for reading all of this.

Wow, this is a really good build. Try to include a full perk spread and tidy the build up a bit. +1

The concept of this is awesome. Now i have a real reason to play an argonian besides aesthetics. XD

Also, i agree. A perk spread would be nice...

I suggest adding in some new artwork and a perk spread, let me know once you do that and you will have earned my like.

Any suggestions as far as artwork? It would be highly appreciated. I'll get working on the perk spread.

    Just something that looks better.

I like it... I'm not generally an argonian player, but this is a very unique concept well grounded in lore. +1

Thank you very much. I'm glad you appreciate the lore, because that's my favorite part about this build. Argonians are my favorite race, so I had to make an Argonian with some good RP. I added a stat spread for those who use them.

I have cleaned it up a bit and am planning to add much more to this in the next few weeks. I apologize for taking so long to do so, but I lost my previous save due to complicaions. Since Dragonborn revolves around apocrypha, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to bring this build back. Hopefully you think so too.
