The gold rings are more for weight requirements. Two rings are gonna weigh less than one iron dagger. If your playthrough is anything like mine then you have more soul gems than you know what to do with.

Nope, our playthroughs are clearly completely different! By the time I'd filled my 50th soul gem on my Sorc, I'd collected nearly that many iron daggers alone!  Of course, that was before I discovered the quest reward Detect Life and started running around with a Crossbow of Fiery Souls, slaughtering small forest critters...

My Sorc was too adventurous to ever bother with a house, so I stashed loot in the college and fast traveled to Whiterun quite a few times.  I was always able to carry enough looted weapons to fill all my soul gems, clean out Belethor and every single Whiterun blacksmith, and still have enchanted weapons to sell along the way back to Winterhold.  Or I'd buy a few new pieces of dwarven armor to re-enchant just because I wanted to unload everything in Whiterun.

I've got a day off today, so it's time to play instead of post!  I'm thinking about dropping Overdraw and Critical Shot to 1 perk point each; any advice on where to redistribute perk points?  I was actually considering buffing Speech more with at least one of them...

I would keep the overdraw perks as more damage is more damage. Especially when you start taking on the pesky draugr overlords. I would do 5 overdraw and 1 in each except bull's eye. Move those 3 points into the sneak tree to get light foot so I wouldn't trip pressure plates or traps...that's just me though.

80% bonus to the base damage of a longbow doesn't feel like it's worth 4 perk points.  Similarly, critical hits only multiply the base damage.  I got the impression that I'd be dealing most of my damage as elemental, just like with the Sorc.

If anything, maybe I should spend points on Lockpicking.  Artificer of Zenithar really made me think those perks are worth taking for the sake of saving time and effort (something this build already has nicely with Merchant as well).

After playing so long I just stopped lock picking perks all together. So many picks and you get the hang of even picking master locks. For some odd reason it takes sooooooo long to level too and by the time you get to the treasure hunter perk you're already rollin' in gold. Especially if you've done the Barenzia questline to get all the gems and make the crown. You find gems in every container you search 90% of the time.

On the other note. Elemental damage does do a lot of your damage, but nothing wrong with even more base damage to kill things faster.

It's not knowing how to pick locks, it's the time picking them without perks takes.  "Is it this spot?" *SNAP* "Nope.  This spot?"  *SNAP*  "Darn."  I'd rather be off shooting draugr in the face than playing Guess Where with some chest!

    See, this guy gets it!

...I don't think I've ever perked lockpicking. Honestly, when I first got Skyrim on the Steam Summer Sale, it was the first thing I modded away. Now I casually throw a fireball in the vague direction of the locked object, ala Fallout New Vegas.

I can understand the perks that boost your treasure-finding frequency, but since it's structured like a magic tree (novice->master), I've never been a fan of it.

Don't underestimate overdraw 80% on a unsmithed long bow don't seem much however due to fortify enchantment and scaling it add some damage, the damage after each shot add quickly against a tough opponent and last, but not least overdraw apply to arrows

Did you just say you can booom locked objects open in FNV?
