I didnt even know he responded to this. I just so happened to be digging through the comments to see what I said about this build. It is good advice though.

    Hello sir!

I just wanted to thank you for making this awesome build. I followed the Chaos Ranger build, since I don't fancy having someone soaking up on the enemy's damage while I get free hits, and I followed every thing in here except the armor. I realize that my version of is isn't exactly original, but it made playing this build even more amazing (in my eyes, of course ). I did actually tried using light armor (Elven, to be exact), and it was cool, adding a cloak mod with it. And then I saw this other guide (I forgot the name), his/her character was wearing Daedric Armor with DBrotherhood Hood, and so I switched gears, and exchanged Light to Heavy Armor. Purely for aesthetic purposes, of course, since I could still have max armor rating with Elven alone, but I fell in love with the Hood!

The result: a whole new level of awesome!

Unfortunately, my character is no more (accidentally "Shift+Delete"d ALL my save files, instead of SEVERAL) and so I cannot give you a screenshot. But it looked something like this:

    My Character: Nord, Female

    My Gear:

    -Dark Brotherhood Hood

    -Daedric Armour (minus helmet)

-3 Daedric Bow (w/ generic enchantments as seen above, but I remember having more)

    -Mod Cloak

The everything but the cloak was enchanted, since my character is supra-powerful if the cloak was enchanted, even in Legendary Mode.

Thanks for making me enjoy every second of my game-time Mason!

P.S. Love using Slow Time especially with multiple enemies. It's nice to see them drop at the same time!

Just wanted to note that I am playing this build on PC, and there is one mod that makes this and Mason's Volkihar builds absolutely shine: Enchanting Awakened. Its a total enchanting overhaul, check it out on nexus. No its not my mod it just makes enchanter builds way more awesome. Not necessarily stronger or better, but much more creative.

I've been looking for a way to play my archer, and this just might fit the bill. Thanks a ton for posting!

This was the first time I was ever able to actually get into and archer style character. Great stuff.

Hello Mason! I was just reading this and was interested in doing a playthrough. I just want to know did you do the Main Questline before you trained your speech, destruction etc etc? Or did you actually go straight for the speech traning and did the main quest after everything was done? Thanks sir

Oi, it's been far to long sense I have played a character to 40+ levels. This build though simple has allowed me to truly enjoy running amok and having a blast with little grinding.

Ultimately I used a full set of light stalhrim armor. For the burning souls, and fire raper bows i used ebony bows, for I thought it looked the part. For the nexus, and cruel heart I used Stalhrim bows to further enhance the frost enchants. Lastly I used a dragon bone bow for cataclysm (I felt i really needed to earn this bow so I set the limitation that I could not craft it until I slayed at least 20 dragons.)

All in all whilst playing on legendary with no companion (ditched her after lvl 20) it definitely played on a style I've always enjoyed but never really found a rhythm for. Also I Stated 1:health 3:stamina. that coupled with an armor rating below 200 really gave you a sense of urgency when dodging seeing as (especially at higher levels) an average bandits attack could leave you with less than 10 health.

Ps. When playing without a follower, "ranger" really becomes necessary!

I really like this build. Good combo of mage and archer. Although I was curious, what would be the best quest lines to pursue when playing this build?
