'Nightstalker' path could possibly run as a mage for a few levels, I ran the bound bow for well over 60% of that playthrough, only when things got nasty would I pull out an elemental bow...

Just be careful not to waste many points in magicka...

I don't recall saying they did BRT?

"Elemental cloaks are usually used for mild damage during combat, by taking the specialised elemental perks ‘Intense Flames’, 'Disintegrate' or ‘Deep Freeze’ Arcane Archers can ensure that weakened enemies that do draw near are either directly repelled, turned to ash or paralysed from cold."

Cloaks basically function as a 'deflector shield' for this character, they also add a ton of flavor...

Those three perks are taken solely to add a unique property to each elemental cloak.

I see, I see.. Well, I was really wanting to run with the 'Chaos Ranger' path,  It just looks like it will be incredibly enjoyable. I suppose I could start fresh and level with the trainers as you suggested.  Maybe I can even put my own personal RP flair into action to validate why he/she is such a grand merchant.

Seriously though, Mason. Absolutely beautiful build! I look forward to playing it!

Completely missed that paragraph somehow- sorry!

I'm new to Skyrim (I know, I'm about 2yrs behind on my video games), so this might be a noobish question or been already discussed, but do you utilize smithing in any of these builds?  I just started playing as nightstalker, and I'm having a blast! The only thing I'm not sure about is whether to get smithing perks in order to improve armor/bows or not.  Or can weapons/armor be improved sufficiently later in the game without any of the smithing perks?

You don't need to perk smithing for this character but there isn't any harm improving your gear slightly at a forge before you place your enchantments. The magical effects on the bows are incredibly powerful so you shouldn't really need to improve them much...

The Nightstalker path should enjoy using the bound bow, that weapon actually has the base damage of a smithed daedric bow. It's one of the most enjoyable items/spells to use in the game and is more than viable on master difficulty...

Hi all, amazing build I had an established sneak archer that I grew bored with.

I started new last night after a read of this post and away I went. Got speech up no problems made a frost and fs bow, haven’t made a fear bow just yet. Starting to increase my destruction but I think I need to spend more time actually using my bows it seems to be lagging. I was using destruction early on, just the default flame. I have more money than I know what to do with thanks to the merchant. All in all very happy camper here

Cool, thanks!  Yeah, one other thing I was thinking of doing with the Nightstalker was adding Fire/Frost/Storm enchanter and dropping Ranger, Hunter's Disciplines, and Soul Squeezer to get the damage output of the Chaos Ranger ...  wasn't sure how vital those 3 perks are.

That ranger perk is game changing, you really want that perk! 'Soul Squeezer' and 'Deft Movement' could both be dropped though if you're going after that chaos enchant...

Just start splashing coin at Feralda for destruction training Pigsta, no need to worry about casting spells. Just let those augment perks build up in their own time and watch your bows power steadily increase...

Empty all your money at trainers, this character can make 2k with a chickens soul...
