    The Wild Guardian

An expert marksman and skilled illusionist, the Wild Guardian is a reverential protector of the innocent, of freedom and of good.

    Back-story:

Kneeling down before it, the wood elf takes a small handful of dirt and makes a fist over the boar’s head. He relaxes his fingers ever so slightly allowing the dirt to gently funnel out and collect on the animal’s temple. After a brief moment he removes his fist and lets the dirt drop back into the earth beside him. Suddenly he jerks his head up into the air and begins staring silently into the distance, listening for something unheard. He gets up, walks a few paces forward and finds a faint sound emerging from the silence. It is something like a whisper but without words. He begins stalking the sound which grows only a little louder as he moves through the dense forest. He traverses the landscape with incredible grace, without snapping a twig or rustling a bush. He finally happens upon the source of the unusual noise—an animal spirit, appearing as a deer and glowing light blue. It tells him plainly he is to go to Skyrim and to continue his practices there as a righteous hunter. This is where the Wild Guardian’s story begins.

    Personality and Character:

The Wild Guardian values life and freedom above all else. While carnivorous and at times cannibalistic, the Wild Guardian condemns most practices of killing, especially of innocents. He values life yet respects death as a means to preserving life. He is near religious in these endeavors, often meditating on those he has slain, especially after a difficult battle. Because he battles with ranged attacks he has little use for armor, and dresses in modest plain clothes (remember that lighter boots make your character harder to detect). His bow is his weapon of choice but he keeps a dagger on him in case of close encounters. He travels light, only taking what he needs, and obtains gold only by earning it. He does not steal or harm innocent beings unless in self defense or to sustain himself.

    Race and Appearance:

The Wild Guardian is a Wood Elf who always dresses plainly either in very light armor or simple clothing.

    Allegiance:

He holds no allegiances except to nature, but may assist certain groups in some matters if the cause is just.

    Major Skills:

Archery: His most important skill. The Wild Guardian is an expert hunter, exceptionally skilled with bows of all kinds. The only other weapon he carries is a small dagger. If he’s doing things right he never has to use it.

Sneak: Sneaking is a crucial strength vital to his offensive and defensive capabilities.

Illusion: The Wild Guardian is a master illusionist, able to manipulate targets into fleeing, attacking, or finding calm. Through illusions, he can fill enemies with intense fear, enrage his opponents forcing them to attack each other, or instill a sense of calm and peace in those around him so that he can slip by enemies without even engaging them.

    Minor Skills:

Restoration: He can use restoration spells to quickly heal himself if injured.

    Magicka, Health & Stamina:

Magicka: Magicka will likely be most important to develop for Illusion spells.

Stamina: With more stamina the Wild Guardian can aim and run for longer.

Health: With all the ranged skills health should have the least allocated points.

    Role-playing options:

    - Do not steal or kill innocents

    - Only take what you need; do not overcrowd your inventory

    - Not all situations require killing everyone in the room. Remember that you can sneak by enemies or use calming spells.

    - Only practice alchemy with non-plant ingredients.

Excellent point. I hadn't realized that existed in the lore. I removed it. I think he can get by just fine with restoration. People can always use enchantment too. Thanks!

The Green Pact concerns only Valenwood, so technically Skyrim is fair game to pick away. Could be wrong as I am no lore expert.

Simple and it looks fun! I also like the skill choices because archery and illusion are two skills that need a lot of perks. I also like how this build only takes the skills it NEEDS very practicle. +1 from me.

I like it but maybe change the name. Deerstalker doesn't exactly scream animal lover :P

I believe that the Green Pact is mostly for Valenwood however a majority of Wood Elves practice the green pact in their home country (if they live in Skyrim, they practice that belief in Skyrim). I'm the same as you though Henson, not a lore master, i just seem to remember something along those lines.
