I added the Spell Lists today which has taken up a lot of space. I must have been close to the character limit before I even did that.

Ah right, just wanted to make sure it wasn't something stranger :) I'll have to take a look at the new section, but for now I'd probably recommend breaking it down into different pages. You could create the Introduction which also serves as a sort of Table of Contents, then give each new section it's own page... The other option would of course be just labelling them 'Part One', 'Part Two' and so on if you need to add more, but I think there's a lot to be said about making it a guide that's really easy to navigate it.

Just some quick thoughts, but it's sort of awesome that it's gone over the word limit (since you'd saved it, would've been terrible if you hadn't) because it just shows the amount of work put into this guide. Kudos to you mate :D

I could see this applying even when vows aren't conciously made, but at a deep level, the character is committed, through culture, worship or calling.  Staying on the path of the tenets would evolve the blessings and powers, Breaking would lead to those consequences.

For me that depends how you define an unconscious vow - because in the case of the Paladin, there's a distinction between just being casually committed to something and being sworn to a cause. There's a lot of fighters or warriors who battle in the name of some kind of cause or justice, but that's no where near the level of moral conviction of the Paladin. Paladins serve higher causes, with serious conviction and faith. That's why it's a sacred vow, and why they get power from it.

I make a distinction between Clerics and Paladins pretty simply: Paladins are not chosen. Clerics are these high ranking, revered people who are selected to a higher cause. A Paladin, on the other hand, isn't. They could be any old fella, from anywhere or any background, and are chosen by nobody, but because they are SO strident and unwavering in their ideals, they are imbued with power. In this way, they choose their deities/causes, not the other way around.

I also see Paladins as kind of that insufferable person in the group who is always strident in their cause, not yielding on their beliefs for anyone. "No, we must not pick the lock of this chest containing the quest item we absolutely need, because it does not serve my higher cause of virtue. We must find another way." *Everyone groans*

They can be quite the party pooper, but crazy fun to play :)

Ok! I've updated the formatting to fit everything finally, plus it looks MUCH better now. I also added a new Vow, for those interested. Thunderchild is a recommended mod for the new one.

Are there two new vows or did I miss one of them earlier? Could've sworn that both the Realms and Sermons are new.

Anyway, I'm really loving the updated presentation mate, it's just...really clean and nice looking, but those Spell Spreads/Lists are something else, absolutely stunning with an incredibly clear presentation (AKA, I can read it :P). It's just really nice mate.

Thanks man glad the presentation comes across much clearer. Better than the coded language it was giving before lol

And yes the Realms was there but given how jumbled it was it was probably easily missed.

Great build as always. Any thoughts or recommendations for a Dragons Dogma Mystic Knight take on a paladin? I'm thinking of using Staves and shield with heavy armor instead of sword and board and going with the Vow of Justice. Sort of an inquisitor or heavy armored witch hunter with a back story of trained and expelled from one of the Divine temple knightly orders. What would I call this build? Paladin-mage, Spell Knight, Mystick Knight, Mage-knight, Inquisitor? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or clarity.
