Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2 look pretty cool, especially Wolfenstein 2 since I have been a fan of the game since it was PC and The Evil Within was a pretty good horror game.

Now, on the subject of paid mods, I have no problem with it and I will explain why. They said  Mods will remain free meaning you will still get free mods like you normally do, this gives PS4 users of those games a lot more access to mods they would have no access to, you will access to AAA quality mods in a sense, and some of the big time modders of the community will get paid for all their hard work. There is a person on youtube who made three or so videos on why paid mods are a good thing, though I seem I can't seem to find them. Also, I know there is a donate option on Nexus, but how many people actually do it.

Also, is VR gaming still a thing, I could have swore it died off once people realized it wasn't that great.

IMO, the Creation Club thing is slippery slope. It's good for now, but sometimes I feel like the proverbial frog in the kettle.

I feel the same way, honestly. I do think it is a good idea and has a good concept, but I don't know how Bethesda is going to handle it right or fair, but as of right now I am keeping an open mind about it and hoping that it won't be awful.

For me the best part of E3 was the Devolver Digital show...it was like watching a real time Rick and Morty episode. Lol

I honestly don't even know who Devolver Digital are, but that's a pitch I can't ignore. I'll check out their show.

Paid Mods? Well if nobody signs up or shows any interest it will collapse in a huge puff of smoke, don't take part don't register let them know we are pissed off ES6 has been pushed back, FO4 on VR big wow, errrm no not really, Skyrim as a card game? no thanks, where the fuck is ES6? WANKERS.  this is another example of big corporation greed and for me I hope it all falls flat.

    Think it's kinda obvious.
The consumer does not pay directly for the mod.
What the consumer is asked to do is purchase the mod using a form of alternative currency.

It's how this alternative currency would be acqquired would be the decisive factor in either making this a success or complete failure.
Taking a step back to view this whole "Creation club" concept as a whole, i believe a balance can be achieved between consumer and developer / modders benefitting all.

Here are my thoughts and proposal on how this can be made posisble:

For the benefit of the modder & developer:

    • Mods that are developed by the modder need to have a cut, in terms of IP & Currency.
    • Since QA is done by bethesda developers, the cut to bethesda for QA services only need not exceed half the purchase price of the mod.
    • Upon success, the developer bethesda can implement this system across all their exsisting and future games to reap more profit.

For the benefit of the consumer:

    • The alternate currency proposed needs to follow a "Free 2 play" concept, with regards to mods.
    • The base game is of course, betheda's efforts and thus is paid in monies by the consumer
    • The mods however should be procured in 1 of the 2 methods proposed or even both:

      • The Achievement Route
        • Have the player obtain an achievement group
        • An achievement group should consist of multiple achievements / tasks pertaining to an aspect of the game
        • An example of an achievement group is as follows: Combat Group Achievement
          • Block - Reach at least 75 block and have performed at least:
          • 100 blocks against humanoids
          • 50 Blocks against beasts
          • 25 against giants.
          • Unlocked at least Elemental protection or Deadly Bash Perk.

          • One Handed - Reach at least 50 one handed and have performed at least:
          • 100 strikes against humanoids
          • 50 strikes against beasts
          • 25 against giants
          • Unlocked at least Savage Strike or Critical charge Perks

        • For each achievement obtained in the group, a certain amount of alternative currency is to be awarded to the player.
        • Once the achievement group is unlocked, the mod pertaining to that particular function of the game can be made availlable to the player for purchase.
        • When a mod is purchased, the player gains the functionality from the mod.
        • The player is then offered the option to relinquish their achievement to start all over again, this time with increased difficulty to obtain another mod of similar function.

      • The Money Route
        • This one is pretty straight forward... pay money, purchase alternative currency
        • Use alternative currency to buy mod
        • Similar concept to crown store in ESO.
        • However, can be made interesting by getting player to at least get the achievement that requires completion of vanilla skyrim.

So there we have it... let me know what you guys think ok?
Also, if any Bethesda developers or linked people are reading this... do take my proposition into consideration.

    Best Regards,

    Warlocksg

Two decades running and E3 is still this painfully awkward. Though Devolver Digital actually did well. If you're going to act, go all the way. Don't phone it in with fake enthusiasm.
