  This week we are looking into a topic that I don't believe we've had a poll about before (and you'd be surprised just how hard it is to find a brand new poll topic five years on....)

  Which is your favourite homestead?

  Yes, we are talking Hearthfire in this poll. This isn't about the existing player homes, but the three that you can build with your own fair hands...

  There are also a couple of options for people who are not exactly enamoured with the available homestead options added by the DLC.

  And don't forget to tell us WHY - is it the view? is it the location? is the alchemy options? Tell us why you picked what you picked in the comments below.

  I normally go with Lakeview, mainly because it's the easiest to get a hold of early on. Not to mention it's got a pretty decent view of Lake Ilinalta, as well.

  i like Lakeview Manor. It has a lake view, its nestled between the pine forests of Falkreath, and is on top a hill.

  The view from Windstead Manor is the best and you've got that big rock nearby (also a good spot).

  Heljarchen Hall is really nice. It's beautiful at night and really close to Loreius Farm. Being so close to Loreius Farm allows me to roleplay a partnership with my farm at Heljarchen Hall.

  Dammit! Can there not be a vote for all three? I've used all of them and like them all for different reasons. Especially if you fix the display cases.

  I always liked Windstad beacuse of how close it was to the swamps, I could just run outside and gather herbs til my hearts content.

  However I really wish there had been a homestead in the volcanic region in Eastmarch or one in Solstheim that looked fully Dunmeri.

  Windstad is my default manor usually. I like the fish farm and plant availability as Veloth (Shaun) mentioned.Its literally an alchemeist's dream come true
  
  I liked Lakeview until I noticed how goofy the enemy spawns were. Really, a conurer living right next to my wife and kids while I'm away? No thank you.

  I like lakeview for the fishery. Something unique and has a lot of uses in alchemy. Now there is a house I like a lot more as a mod but as far as DLC that would be my choice
