Bah, I can't even keep my promise of not doing an event. Ah well, welcome to the second General Gaming Event, and the first for the year of 2016. I'm going to admit before we get much further in, that this idea may be the laziest, but most interesting Event I've ever thought of.
All right, the aim of this short Event is to play a character that does not finish the Main Quest of your game. That's right folks, your Grey Warden might die in the depths of the Deep Roads, your Revan might be killed after fighting Malak for the first time.
Now don't worry, your character must be either at half the level max (if applicable) or halfway through the Main Quest for it to count, wouldn't want the "He died in the tutorial" kind of builds to go up.
Rules and Requirements:
If you have any questions about the Event, or would like to run your build by someone then drop them here and I'll try and answer them.
Confrimed Participants:
Dragonborn1721 - The Dealer of Death and The Reaper
Chris Diokno - The Repentant Knight'

I must say, I'm not really seeing how to make an interesting build out of this. Make a build, but don't let him get any items locked behind the second half of the main quest? I think I'll give this one a miss. Sorry DB.

It'll be more of a Roleplaying kind of build, in the end, I'll admit, but it does provide a new spin. You have to come up with interesting/viable combos for mid-game rather than just get the most powerful gear, your character will generally need to be more carefully managed but also wouldn't really need to be powerplayed.
Anyway, I do get your point, it's a hit or miss Event that won't be for everyone.
