    Cyberpunk 2287: Fallout Edition

Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction I know is already well loved around the site. From Ghost in the Shell to Robocop, the Matrix trilogy to the Neuromancer, Dredd and of course Blade Runner; all of these are amazing examples of this theme in various forms of media. If you are not familiar Cyberpunk, it is the fusion of high technology and lowlife. This often means things like artificial intelligences, cybernetics, etc. mixed with worlds that are dark and terrible urban sprawls dominated by corporations. Many feature hackers or detectives or other noir based characters (think Blade Runner) living in these neon-lit, rainy, dark underbelly cities where the rich live on high and the majority of people have miserable lives in the gutter. Already you can see why many of our members have already been inspired to create cyberpunk-esque builds, one of the most prominent is without a doubt Noodles’ Cyberpunk.

For our second Tamriel Vault Fallout Character Building event of 2018 we will pull inspiration from Noodles’ build and the wonderful world of cyberpunk to create our own Cyberpunk Fallout builds. Despite the event title, this can be in any Fallout game. I would have used 2077 as this was the year the bombs dropped but sadly some jerks over in Poland already called dibs on that one….. Regardless, Mottyskills and I would invite each and everyone of you to boot up your preferred Fallout, throw on your favorite cyberpunk movie or TV show and immerse yourself into the mindset, skills, and challenges this subgenre thrills us with.

    Rules and Organizing:

    - Your event build should be built around the cyberpunk genre. Again this means high tech but low life. Think dark, terrible rain filled cities filled with crumbling infrastructure where the constant day to day is in itself a struggle (sound familiar? *cough* wasteland). You are welcome to take inspiration from an existing genre character or just build a character that would fit into a cyberpunk world.

    - Completed event builds should be posted between May 9th and June 6th. You cannot post a build and continue to work on it in the Fallout Character Building group after this deadline. However, I do encourage you to post a WIP in the WORKSHOP during the event duration if you are looking for some feedback with the build, formatting, or general questions while you work on it.

    - Event builds can be created and made for Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, or Fallout 4.

    - Completed event builds should be posted with the title “Event Build: (F03 / FNV / FO4) BUILD NAME”

    - Completed event builds must have the tag "Event: Cyberpunk" in addition to the game and playstyle ones. You can find more information on the latter two in The Fallout Character Build Archives. Please ask myself or Mottyskills if you have any questions.

    - The author of every completed and posted event build will also receive a special “Cyberpunk 2287: Fallout Edition” themed badge on their account related to the event.

    - Builds will be asked to cap at levels 30 to 50.

    - Mods are allowed and encouraged! There are some wonderful cyberpunk themed mods out there waiting to be played and enjoyed! Find some and share with others!

We invite all builders, veterans and newbies alike to participate. All are welcome and encouraged to submit their creations to fuel and grow our burgeoning library of builds that lives here on TamrielVault. So wrack your brain, pick your poison, and sign up for our event. Grab your blaster or your blade and delve right into the world of Cyberpunk 2287: Fallout Edition!

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions from us in the meantime. Good luck and I look forward to each of your builds!

    Finished Builds:

    Chris - The Arbitrator

    Chris - The Synthetic Infiltrator

    Noodles - The Peacemaker

Long Chapper - The Prodigal Son

Golden Fool - Adaptability Test Unit 1

I feel like this would be the perfect event for my first institute run... Yes, despite being very pro-institute, I never actually joined them. Why not rectify that? :P

So, yeah guys, feel free to add me to the list... Even if I've got no idea yet what I want to do exactly.

And who doesn't want yet another amazing Rutger Hauer monologue in a build. You know I gots to put in Tears in the Rain, man and give everybody the feels. He'll have a gun too, but mostly because he was more than likely created for military purposes and there's meaning behind the gun that he'll use.
