Welcome to the first ever Fallout character building event, Comic Books! Here, test subjects people from across the Vault, ranging from WuYiXiang's Noodle Shop to the Overseer's office, gather and come up with ideas of character builds that would deserve their own comic book series in the Fallout world. Ideally, character builds for this event should be inspired by real life comic book figures like Iron Man, Batman, Wolverine and so on but it's not a requirement. The end result just has to fit into the hero, anti-hero, villain trinity and of course have a comic book feel to it. For example, I am making a Mechanist build for this event because my character is a hero of the Commonwealth who dresses up in a funny way. Not sold on the idea yet? Well then let me tell you that, in keeping up the theme of the event, every participant who submits a completed character build will receive a nerdy prize. The prize is a photoshopped digital picture of a comic book cover custom made for the submitted build. This is not a badge although we will be offering those too. Here's what I'm talking about.

And yes, these two builds would suffice the event's requirements. None of them are inspired by a specific comic book character but they're both anti-heroes and their unique skills would definitely get a nerd hyped.

    Tips

    - Motty, I and a few other Fallout enthusiasts barinstormed a little bit and came up with some character build ideas that would fit the event should you have trouble on your own: Iron Man (high intelligence power armor and laser weapons build), Quicksilver (unarmed Blitz and Jet build), Spider-Man Noir (stealth Silver Shroud Submachine Gun and Deliverer build), Vigilante (cowboy build). Don't forget to browse the Fallout Mecha - Armor Combo Catalogue in search of inspiration. Also, don't be afraid to delve into gameplay mimicking extrasensory perception or witchcraft. You just need to think outside the box and find the right angle to approach your character build. We have a tag called "Enhanced" specifically made for these types of builds. At the end of the day you have to ask yourself the following. If you were to start your own comic books series in the Fallout world whom would it be about?

    - If you're new to Fallout character building or the idea of building in general I would advise having a look over this guide. It's not something set in stone though. You can organize your build however you want as long as other people can understand it. It's just to give a helping hand if you're experiencing difficulties. Of course please feel free to message me or Motty about anything you have trouble with. We'll do our best to help!

    Rules and Organizing

    - The build must be a hero, anti-hero or villain and if Hubris Comics were to still be in business they should have no problem in writing a comic book series about it.

    - Completed character builds must be posted between the 18-th of February and 25-th of February. You cannot post a build and continue to work on it in the Fallout Character Building Group. However, you can post a work in progress version of the build in The Workshop group any time you want. Motty and I will make sure we comment with constructive feedback.

    - Completed character builds must be posted with the title "Event Build: (FO3 / FNV / FO4)". Yes, this event covers Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4.

    - Posted event builds must have the tag "Event:Comic Books" in addition to the game and playstyle ones. You can find more information on the latter two in The Fallout Character Build Archives.

    - The author of every completed and posted event build will receive a .png image file containing a custom made comic book cover. I advise sending me a message during the time period until the 18-th of February with as many details about the work in progress build as possible so that I can start photoshoping.

    - The author of every completed and posted event build will also receive a badge on their account related to the event.

    - The posted character build won't require having a level limit. However I strongly advise making sure that the build can do most of what it can in the first 20 - 25 levels. For example, if you're making a beastmaster build, make sure you perk the first tier of charisma's pacification perks early on.

Fallout Event with an awesome prize?! I´m tempted, I´m damn tempted. I have a character I´ve been playing for like half a year, over level 60. Anthonia "Tony" Tesla-Stark. It should qualify if its based on/inspired by Iron Man, right? Hmm. Gonna think about it. You can write me down for the time being. :)

Level 60 sounds like a decent high amount, Karver. Awesome! I'll add you when I get home. Until then, welcome to the event! It's nice to have you! :D Thanks Lis! :D

It´s just a character I´ve been playing for a long time. I´ll launch a new game and try to refine it somehow, to get under 50 at least. :)

Edit: Just for the fun, try to imagine something like this xD

I really, really want to make a Dazzler character for this, but my knowledge of comics is lacking almost as much as my knowledge of the game is. If anyone wants semi-collab on this it would be great, I'd mainly be spewing ideas that probably won't work, but I can't help but thing how fun a performer by day, badass-energy wielding electronic-manipulator character would be.
