Hello.  I was wondering if there was anything here, regarding New Vegas, that has something along the lines of a junk-yard Paladin.  Someone that uses items or gear like metal armor, gra baseball bat, tin can grenades, not top of the line weapons and has that salvaged/crafted look.  I'm sometimes unsatisfied with what I make (character/lore wise) or stretch myself out too much.  If anyone has any suggestions, I'll be sure to read and check them out.  Thank you!

Hmm... check out The Survivalist, The Anarchist and Punish-Her.

The Anarchists lore and perks gave me a better understanding of what I wanted, thank you, Noodles!

So I just recently finished my first playthrough of Fallout 4 and now I'm looking to try my had at Survival are there any builds specifically made with this difficutly setting in mind?  Or can someone recomend a build that while not necessarily built for Survival would transport over fairly well?

Haha I have the quite the match for you my friend: Ponty's Survivor build was designed to make survival difficulty both viable while also retaining a fun challenge to it. Also one of my own builds, the Vagabond, is slightly similar to Ponty's however I'd definitely recommend following Ponty's build as it is definitely better set up for the survival difficulty itself. These are both stealth builds however, so if thats not your forte I'm sure there are others that would fit the bill, but Ponty's would be the best place to start if you need some ideas.  I'm sure someone else here will find other excellent options for you. Best of luck on your dangerous quest!

Yup - Ponty wrote the blueprint for making it through SMode. We also collabed on a list of tips and tricks called The Survivor's Log.

I would also let you know, if you're looking for something a little less obvious with a bunch of Roleplay, my "The Replacement" was written and playtested on SMode. Taking advantage of one of the few placed you can fast travel to a home base (institute) and roleplaying as a Synth. She's like my Uma Thruman from Gattica build. :)

Thanks MaddMannatee and Mottyskills. The Survior's Log and the associated build was exactily what I was looking for.

Other games - Finished. Internet connection - Fixed. Firwall that didn't like the new website - replaced. Time to go back to the Commonwealth!

any months ago, I was part of a discussion on loot farming, and Motty suggested a bit of a challenge; design a build around the first Legendary item you pick up. Well, last night I found a Junkie's pipe auto pistol.

So Im wondering, in my absence, has anyone designed a junkie build? I don't want to build something that's already been done.
