Psh I'm more of the mindset that you gotta bring the crowd with you. I mean you already have 10 upvotes or something like that and you only posted it yesterday? On that subreddit I've seen even the better builds only get 3-4 in their entire time. Now if somewhere at the beginning or at the end you plugged this site, I could definitely see some migration. These people using this subreddit want to see builds. And most want to share builds. So if you give them a place to find more builds I'm sure they will come. Because unfortunately, this site is the top hit on Google yet for people looking for Fallout 4 builds like it was for Skyrim so the pickings on places to show and tell are slim

    Well that's the plan...

...but I didn't want to be a dick and start posting links on my first visit.

I actually found a lucky minigun awhile ago, so I'll definitely have to use a shredder on it. Now if only I could get an explosive combat shotgun and/or explosive minigun...

I heard that Rifleman only ignores ballistic defense... so wouldn't gunslinger be the better choice for laser weapons (except laser musket obv since it cant be turned into a pistol) seeing as they inflict energy damage... thus not benefiting from the defense ignore?

Not heard of that before, I've not noticed a significant weakness with using laser rifles and nearly all of my characters have used Rifleman...

Does that mean the penetrating mod doesn't work on energy class weapons?

Rifleman is a perk in Fallout 4. This perk affects both energy and ballistic weapons, but only reduces a target's ballistic damage resistance, not energy or radiation resistance.

    Wiki - Rifleman Perk

According to good ol trustworthy Wiki it doesn't have any effect on energy or radiation damage... so I guess not... but thats the source I read that from... so if anyone is willing to test this because I have no clue how to haha... that would be great!!!

I don't think it really is game changing if it doesn't apply the armor penetrator on energy damage... but seeing as rifles and pistols stocks don't alter damage in any way (atleast for laser guns) than I would think you would get more bang from the gunslinger perk with increase in range and for the most part, same crippling properties... with only a slight decrease in accuracy...

However, I do notice that the "Recoil Compensating Stock" for the laser rifle does have improved bash... so that is worth it for your build since you are taking the basher perk.

I'll definitely have a look into it, though I don't think I'd want to sacrifice the accuracy and range of rifles for this build by choosing pistols.

It's all a little vague at the moment...

On the one hand people are stating that bigger enemies don't actually have that many HP and it's their armor rating that you have to deal with...

...so I picked up a penetrating combat rifle with the rifleman perks expecting the -60% armor rating to be a sure thing but didn't feel that blown away by the result...even though the numbers all made sense to me...

    Still lots to be discovered!

Going to play this one. Modeling after Fenix from Gears of War. Too bad there isn't an extra muscular for this lol.
