There's a Hardened Sniper Rifle on the roof of a Red Rocket just south-east of the Corvega plant along with an ammo chest which seems to have a high chance of dropping fusion cores. Nothing to kill there usually, apart from some radstags...

@asks - I got that one recently - didn't know if it was random.

This is the first build I tried from this website, and I took it all the way to the end of the main quest. Thanks for the effort you put in, Mason!

This build was so much fun!  (The Idiot Savant sound effects made me laugh, a lot.)  I completed a play through with her a couple months ago; with the addition of mods to the XBone, I'm now thinking of playing through again, this time with a crossbow (and better hair.)  Thanks for such a well-thought out and enjoyable build.

Not sure if Mason is still milling around FO4 CB, but I wanted to tip the cap to Domino as I recently finished up the main quest with my verison of her. The domino effect is quite intoxicating and the addition of the Marine Wetsuit as the under layer to shadowed armor made for a real slick and sexy playthrough.

Thanks grand-dad master of buidling. She's a great one!

So, late to the party with Fallout 4 and been busy playing and building myself.  Saw this in the spotlight this week and Mason again does not fail to impress.  I hadn't really looked into chems for added combat bonuses so a good idea.  Not sure if the BoS would buy in to her addiction but whatevs..lol.  The bonus damage ramp ups seems solid and a fun way to tear the house down.  +1 from me.

So finally getting around to giving this a go.  Anyone that's played it know how exactly to get a .308 receiver on a combat rifle without the Gun Nut perk?  Seems I need a couple of levels in Gun Nut but that's not a perk to use.  Unless combat rifles drop with misc calibers which honestly would be news to me at this point...lol.
