You just buy a donor weapon with the mods you're looking for already on it.

Let's say you pick up Righteous Authority and you want to fit an Overcharged Capacitor to it but you have absolutely no skill in Science...

Visit a trader like Arturo or Ronnie Shaw and buy  a standard laser rifle with an Overcharged Capacitor pre-fitted. Reverse engineer the weapon by adding a standard capacitor to it and you'll now have an Overcharged Capacitor sitting in your mod list...

You can then add the Overcharged Capacitor to Righteous Authority and you're good to go.

This approach works with any weapon and it works for armor mods also.

You may have to spend 500caps to buy the donor weapon but you can always make more caps, you can't get perk points back.

    Is spending 500, 1000, 10,0000 caps worth saving 4 - 8 perk points..............absolutely.

I bet the Machinist DLC would be good for this.

    Biomech or Demigod?

I'm level 12 playing the very hard difficulty, this is my first play through on Fallout 4 so I'm a bit slow. But this, this devastating build makes everything so easy. This was evident when I killed Slug, the legendary super mutant, with a few molotovs and a short combat rifle.

Does it get more difficult than this? If it's this easy all the way to level 50 and beyond then I'll save this beast for a survival run. In the mean time, I'd like to enjoy the main quest and some sides with a challenge.

+1 of course, laughing in the face of super mutants has been a very enjoyable experience.

Hey Kingdom - unfortunately the author is no longer active here on the site and sorry no one answered you...but I can tell you, yes this is a powerful setup. By now you've probably moved on. But wanted to at least respond.

    Cheers.
