Is there any way get Maxson's Battlecoat while doing the zbrotherhood quest line, aside from killing him during is speech?

Unsure. I know the most entertaining way is to massacre the entire ship, before the institute even sends you after them o.o x6-88 wears it now

I mentioned in the other thread I'm working on a baseball themed sneak-blitz-melee build. I have been playing a while and am trying to plan the perks I want to go for here are the ones I picked as being necessary, which requires me to be at least level 46

Thing is I only have 37 perks selected. By my count that means I need to pick 8 more perks to round this guy out. I was thinking awareness or medic since I got bobbleheads and the magazine to get my perception and intelligence where they need to be. Does awareness affect melee vats?
And that's still only 5, so I have 3 more. Ninja? Lone Wonderer? Both and take the build to level 50? Any feedback would be appreciated. Edit- sorry, I can't make this damn link work

If you're doing sneak, Ninja is worth it. Lone Wanderer's damage and defence boosts are also really good too. I wouldn't perk Awareness since it seems kind of a waste to me - why do you even need to know their resistances if your weapon only does physical damage anyway? Medic could be useful depending on how much you're in the open - if you're mainly relying on sneak, you're unlikely to need that health anyway, since you're not going to get caught.

Sound advice. So if I go ninja and lone wanderer that's 6. Still will have 2 left over perks if I'm at level 46. You think use one level to bump perception one more and get advanced lock picking, or find the endurance bobblehead and get both levels of chem resistant? Then if I do end up out in the open I can use jets and move quickly from skull to skull

That could be worth it. There's no need to limit your build to 46, you could easily push it to 50 if you need to.

I probably will go beyond 46, but that's the minimum level I'll need in order to get all of the perks I originally targeted. This is just to round out those levels when I can't get a skill I consider primary. I'm considering even restarting and just getting the you're special magazine to put a point in endurance, then I can scratch the bobblehead hunts altogether.
You've been a huge help with streamlining this thing by the way. The Rockville slugger is awesome, I can land 6 hits in vats mode with this thing if necessary thanks to that bat. I'm crafting my armor now with AP bonuses to see if I can squeeze in a 7th hit. This thing is fun as shit after the first few very difficult levels. I'll probably have to raise the difficulty as I progress
