*The following papers and drawings were found scattered across Waypoint Delta, near the Glowing sea*

Dear whoever comes and reads this,

We were very successful on setting up a waypoint here to patrol the Glowing Sea to find the Nukes we need for Prime. As expected, we had some minor battles with the local wildlife nothing too hard some Radscorpions, Bloatflies, and Ghouls, but on the fifth day, we went on patrol we were attacked by this hellish creature. It had sharp claws and teeth that easily stripped Knight Ashley of his Power Armor, and tore his body in half. It was a sight I will never forget, but lucky Paladin Neville killed the beast. It was my decision for them to carry it back to base so I could study it.

The following information is everything I have gathered from studying these Devils of the Glowing Sea and Devils of the Commonwealth, known as Deathclaws.

At first, I had no clue what this creature originally came from, but upon further research, at various military facilities around here I did find a top-secret document from pre-war times called Project Deathclaw, and I found that they are mutated Jackson's Chameleon. This abomination of nature and science is taller than most creatures with the average being nine to ten feet tall while some of the Alphas are twelve to fourteen feet tall. They have a hunched back, are bipedal, thick sharp pointing horns protruding from their heads, and have thick rough skin with powerful muscles supporting them. Their claws can grow out to be one foot in length and are very deadly, so avoid close combat if possible. They have very poor eyesight, but excellent hearing and smell being able to locate anything if needed, so be quiet if possible as well. While most have lost the ability to use their camouflage there are some that have learned to use it, these are extremely dangerous as you will never see them coming.

They typically live in small packs of around eight to twenty members led by an Alpha, who is the only one allowed to mate with the females. Deathclaws are unique in the fact that they are oviparous, and they lay their eggs in dark, sheltered locations and are fiercely guarded by their mother, who is sometimes twice as aggressive as the Alpha.

Deathclaws will attack anything for they are very territorial and aggressive creatures. I witnessed one fighting a whole horde of ghouls and them all killed in a quick swipe. Usually, before the charge into a battle, you hear their devilish shout and even their demonic growls. Once you hear it be to prepare for a fight or to meet the Creator for if you are unprepared you will lose. They attack by charging into the fight with their arms wide open and as soon they get close the quickly grasp them and most of the time their claws go straight through their victim, a sight I want no one to see. They have also been known to take their tail and swipe it using it like a very big and powerful baseball bat.

In our journeys through the Glowing Sea, I have figured out the Deathclaws weak spot, but it can tricky to hit. Their weak spot is the underside of the stomach, but if you can't get a great shot at it you can shoot at its legs to slow it down, or if do enough damage to its tail it won't be able to walk right. I did notice ballistic weapons seem to do very little while our energy ones seemed to do more. I would advise using automatic weapons over single firing as you do more damage in less time, though I would highly suggest a Fat Man, Laser Cannon, or Minigun to really mow them bastards down.

Across my studies, I have found there isn't just one simple kind of Deathclaw. No, there are several versions you have Glowing, which glows with a green tint, Alpha, which are usually taller in stance and darker in color, Albino, which have white skin and red eyes, Chameleon, who are hard to determined due to the fact they the ability to adapt to coloring of their envorment, Mother, who are bigger then the average female Deathclaw and have a lighter skin tone, and maybe more but those are the ones i have seen around here.

With these findings, I hope the Brotherhood can find all this info useful and be better prepared then we were since I won't be returning back to the Prydwen as my patrol is dead and there is a Alpha Deathclaw stalking the cabin I am in.

    Ad Victoriam, brothers and sisters,

Nice artwork finds and well written. The devil theme fits nicely with our month of spooky stuff :)

A few minor typos (sating -->setting in the first line, Victurum -- > victoriam in the last)

    Otherwise - great addtion Postman!!

Fixed the typos, I am sorry for those, but I wrote this at like midnight while half awake and sleep, and thanks for pointing that out especially the last part.

Great addition to the event. And I agree with Motty, it does have that demonic theme. You add the Halloween tag and I'll tell Paws to get you into the badge line.

hahahaha! That's alright. When I joined, I didn't know that the # symbol adds itself so I had two of them on all my content.
