Uh...not really something I'm worried about to be honest Chris...I mean yeah Silent Roll, Dynamic Entry and Dodge Roll would be pretty useful but not required.

Shit, well for whatever reason, someone *cough* one of my shitty brothers *cough* has misplaced the Xbox version of Skyrim so I need to play on Laptop...not sure if I can manage that, just not fond of the game with keyboard and mouse but I'll see.

I know you’ve already probably made the decision, but I’m playing with an Imperial for the first time and I love it. People around me stay alive a lot longer. Plus, the thing about changing attributes fits really well with Vancian Magic And Spellscribe. You don’t need all that magicka, but you really need lots of stamina. It’s great.

This all sounds really interesting. I don’t know anything about the Witcher, but this sounds Fun. And working with the Blink from Shadow Step is super cool.

Question, this build was planned for the Songs of the North event - what song inspired it?

True, true. I tend to play with Imperials a lot with Imperious, but yeah I do think I'm going with Breton for this honestly, though not entirely sure...will depend on how much the Race will have to do with the Gameplay.  Ah, good point :D It's actually a combination of the Witcher Soundtrack and the song Lady of Worlds, written by Miracle of Sound who do a lot of video game based songs, really good stuff, though admiteddly not my normal genre. Honestly it was more me just wanting an excuse to write a Witcher based build so...yeah :P

So...problem. Despite very much enjoying the art of building these days, I've kind of been struggling to put myself through playing more than 10 minutes of Skyrim. It has nothing to do with what mods I use, what character I'm playing or how unique something might feel, and just my complete lack of enjoyment in the game. If anything I suppose what you could blame it on is that I've played most of the larger 'New World/Quest' mods, and of course played the base game a good 1000 times by now, so it's just dull and boring for me.

What I'd like to do, is ask if anyone would enjoy the idea of collabing with me, focusing on playtesting the builds. Most of my mods tend to be Ordinator foccused these days meaning it is more or less restricted to those that play on Xbox or PC, but there are a few unmodded builds here and there...probably? I'm going to be jotting down the basics of each build, with a bit of a description, and they're in order of most developed (so something that I'm more keen on someone just playing and then builds that are so conceptual that you'd have a tonne of say in.)

Anyway, tl;dr Open for Collabs. Lots of Playtesting. Different Amounts of RP/LORE/BACKSTORY work. FUN TIMES!

    Builds:

THIS BUILD! Yeah, that's right. You don't have to follow a link or read a description, just the build :D

The Corpse Maiden - Vampire with Necromancy and Mods. That is all :P No okay, this is one that I have playtested to Level 20 and released for a Mini Event awhile back, actually it was never meant to go past Level 20, but it did so...Anyway the point is this is a fairly well established character and I'll find the LEvel 20 version soon, but the idea is that you combine Minions with the Blood Spells of Sacrosanct to create a character that's incredibly deadly. The Perk Spread shown there isn't accurate because I dropped some skills, but uh. Yeah this is the most developed and most interesting IMO.

The Lovely Flower of the Desert - A Fire/Destruction + Unarmed (Or Daggers...hadn't decided yet) build that uses Ordinator to create a flowing offense, focusing on high speed attacks and devastating combos. It's inspired by a fairly loose piece of Lore from ESO on a faction called the Firedancers, as well as me wanting to really try a unique twist on a Redguard character.

Runesword Princess - A Frost/One-Handed build that focuses on Runes, slowing effects with a bit of Conjuration and high speed sword play worked in. It's a rather simple build but one that should be rather fun to play. Again this requires Ordinator and Apocalypse and plays with some really interesting spells from the latter. It's a lot more of a concept than the other builds because I hadn't worked it all out meaning those that want a bit more of a say with the RP, Lore and all that would enjoy this more.

The Cleric - Is a violently typical Cleric Build that's designed to mimick a D&D Cleric, so healing spells, buffing companions, tanking and a lot of Anti-Undead capability. But it's very loose, barely worked out and thus, extremely free. Also no character planned here unlike The Corpse Maiden or Lovely Flower meaning it's good for those that might want to RP and whatnot.

Hrormir - Okay so this is by far the most 'Lore-y' while also being the least developed. It was based on a conversation between...I think it was originally Phil and Karver, then I popped in and Phil and I discussed it, but the point was that it's Lore based, super interesting but very poorly developed and something really cool to tackle.

It'll be a while yet before I pick up Skyrim again to actually be able to focus on playtesting - first I'll need to figure out how mods and stuff work on a PC :D But you sound a bit like Ernie in his recent workshop post. You know I enjoy the creative process and bouncing ideas around, Deebs, so I'm well up for theory crafting even if I can't play yet. This could be an opportunity to get Ernie on, too.

HAHA, we all have the same problem. I'm fine to about level 20 or so and then that first level slow down hits and Imma like OH GOD. So, that's when I whip out Fallout, which has faster leveling and I feel like I accomplish more. :D

You know how I'm gonna solve it? By bringing out my minis. Bringing back the one-skill builds.  That may help you too, Deebs. They are capped at level 25 max and the limitations are fun that I'm entertained, even on Vanilla. Next on my roster for our pure skills series was archery, restoration, destruction, sneak, and lockpicking. I think you had one-handed, conjuration, and something else, though I could easily adapt my Summer wolf for One-handed if you let me. That could be very cool actually. Cans I?

Oh I don't quite mean that...I've experienced that version of being burnt out, but I was actually being pretty serious about 10 minutes being a struggle. I've been on a pretty huge break from Skyrim (at least two months I think, maybe longer), and tried to pick it up for the first time yesterday (or...two days ago) and couldn't push myself through it.

Aboslutley go through with any ideas you have for Pure Skills, honestly at this rate I think I'm still at 1 so really if you've got an idea just go for it. I loved the idea of that, but yeah struggling with Skyrim right now.

I’d be glad to help out with playtesting in the early-September timeframe. Maybe late August. I’ll be without any way to play for the bulk of July and August, so that’s just going to blow. But if anyone who playtests has any roleplay/backstory stuff I could help with, I’d be glad to pitch in anytime.
