    A history of lost power

Maelon (literally meaning Lust) later known as Aradhelon (translating into royal terror), was one of the Aedra a Ehlnofey who played a lessor part in molding the world. At first, he was one of the Aedra who was angry at the creation of the world and the lost of most of his divine grace, but later he started to admire the creation and joined Lorkhan: even forming a minor infatuation for him. (Although he was someone who fell for people with great power).  He became one of Lorkhan’s most dangerous generals, which earned him the name Aradhelon, in mockery of his original name. When Lorkhan was defeated,  Aradhelon considered repenting for his actions and crimes, but when he noticed his master’s brutal punishment: he fled and seemingly disappeared from the world. He didn’t resurface until the destruction of Aldmeris, in which it was rumored that he played some part in its disappearances: although this unconfirmed. Later Aradhelon discovered what would be known as Morrowind, and there on the base of red mountain: created his first fortress of Thaw-Guldur. There he used a illusion to diguise himself as one of the first Aldmeri explorers, and his fortress on of the first wizard towers. Maelon found the elves to be imperfect, and in need of a mighty hand to guide them, and he started to plot against them. He started to dabble in the dark arts and ended up created Falmer like creatures from elves who decided to inhabit his near his fortress, he would then have corrupted some other Ehlnofey and transformed them into monstrous creatures.  In the following years Maelon waged war with the Chimer (now Dunmer), for control over the lands of Morrowind.

At the same time Maelon attempted to gain control over Skyrim and in his lust for power made a deal with Molag Bal. In exchange for the knowledge on how to dominate the minds of others, Maelon slept with the Daedric Prince. Using the knowledge that was gifted to him, Maelon managed to corrupt the dragon priest mask, and then made a One-Ring to control the Dragon Priest. When he placed the ring on and attempted to ressurect the power of the Dragon Priest, Maelon found that he could not, and that even after Alduin was banished he still controlled the Priest. Despite this small problem Maelon was still able to influences the minds of others, and later he created a series of different magical ring to extend his will. He gave seven of thoses rings to the Dwemer in Morrwind, and two rings to Kings of Skyrim. It seemed that the rings did work on the Dwemer, and he was able to influences various conflicts with the Chimer. While in Skyrim he managed to use his influences on those two kings, and forced them to let him create two fortresses in Skyrim. However, before he could expand his power and dominate the minds of the ring bearers, the Chimers caught wiff of his plan.  Which Aradhelon theroized that it was one of the Daedra who informed him of his plan, he expected it to be Azura or Boethiah. In a finall attempts to expel the Dark Lord from his fortress the Chimer (now Dunmer) rallied against him, and laid siege to his fortress. For seven years they captured the dangerous halls of Thaw-Gulder, level by level. Until at last Aradhelon was forced to face the threat himself, and it was here that he faced a council of the most powerful Dunmer sorcerers. While he was battling the sorcerers one of them by the name of Inernil Belass, took up his enchanted sword, and servered the finger that held the one ring from Aradhelon's body.

Since the ring held much of his native power, and the sorcerers have serverely damaged his body. Aradhelon was weaken severely, and his spirit was expeled from the physical realm. He then traveled to the realm of Cold-Harbor, where he once again made a deal with the Daedric Prince of Domination. In exchange that his spirit could stay in his realm for protection, and long enough that he could regain some of his power. Maelon promised that he would please  or serve the Daedric Prince, but also, become Molag Bal's harbinger when he gained enough to return to the mortal plane. For about five eras Aradhelon spent his time gathering his strength, learning from Daedric Prince, and if needed he would please him. While he was recovering his power, his one ring was being passed down throughout the ages, corrupting and perverting those who wear it. time someone placed the ring on Aradhelon could feel that person using his power, and in some occausions he could see the person (and they could see him). Eventually he noticed that Alduin the World Eater was being sent into the future, through the powers of the elder scrolls, the process admittedly tore through time and space generating vast amounts of energy in the process. Seeing this as a chance to enter back into Mundus, Maelon wasted no time in gathering this energy, and threw himself into the rift. Ultimately it was a success and Maelon was sent crashing into Skyrim, where he used that energy to craft him a material form: a fair form used to decieve others. The process used up whatever energy he had, and he was still lessened compared to his native power that he once had. Aradhelon knew that he needed to recover his one ring before he could start any of his plans to control Skyrim, and reclaim his former domains.

    The Character build

    The Basics

It should be noted that this version of Sauron is mostly based off the books, mostly the Silmarillion. As such my interpretation of Sauron is much different than movies, who arguably presents him like his master Morgoth. Now I do recognize that in the third age he does rise like a shadow of Morgoth, and in a way become his master. Keep in mind that this difference would mostly be in appearance and somewhat in the play style. Furthermore, this character will have a evolutionary play style, and it will constantly change with the role play.

Race:Breton or High-Elf (Vampire/Werewolf). I personally went with High-Elf for two reasons, one for the extra magicka, and two for role play reasons. (Since the Ehlnofey were the ancestors of the Elves). However, Breton would also be a good race due to their magicka absorption and the +1 in conjuration.  Later you will gain vampirism from Harkon and then use the Ring of Hircine to become a vampire-werewolf hybrid.

Stats: 1/1/0, you will mostly be wanting to focus on both health and magicka. While this character does use a one-handed weapon, it is mostly used to keep those few hostiles away from you. In general, this character is more like a controller, and magic is needed to control and manipulate enemies.

Standing Stones: When you are first starting the game you will want to chose the ritual stone, for at the start you are mostly a necromancer and illusionist. Then at the second part of the game you will take the Atronach. (I used the Atronach absorption ability as an 'ability' of the Ring)

    Powers:

     Major Skills (W.i.P)

Destructions: Aradhelon being one of the divine spirits, naturally was bound to the natural world. Thus he held a affinity to the element of fire, and he was connected to the planet's fiery core. During his battle with the Dunmer Sorcerers, it was said that he radiated such intense heat that one of he sorcerers burned to death by his mere touch, and another describe his hand as armored yet burning like fire.

Illusion: Aradhelon created his ring of power to directly control and influence the minds of others. Specifically, the rings were made to exert influence and dominances over the dragon priest mask, and the other nine rings of power. Before that, however, Aradhelon was known to possess a dreadful presence, and an indomitable willpower. Few could withstand the being in his presences, and even fewer could withstand avoiding his silver tongue.

Conjuration: Aradhelon is without a doubt one of thee most powerful sorcerer's and necromancers in existences. With some even saying that he founded sorcery, and others saying that he was one of the first to practice the foul art. Whatever the case he is capable of summoning creatures from other dimensions with little to know difficultiy, and raising the dead with realitive ease.

I'm instantly sold on everything about this build Merrilous. I'm hardly anything close to an expert on LoTR Lore (and I've never read the Silmarillion) but damn is this just an awesome build so far. The backstory and lore behind the build have been translated incredibly well, it feels like a legitimate part of TES Lore and that is something that's really difficult to pull off when you're bringing something that (on a surface level at least) a lot of people are familiar with. Took me longer than I thought it would to even figure out that this was a Sauron based build.

Then you've got the presentation so far, and that's just nearly perfect at this point. The only thing I could even think about recommending is seeing if you could move the third image up a little higher so it doesn't feel like it's too close to the last image you've used. Just feels a bit strange there at the moment, but all of the images are really awesome, and the way your formatting everything so far is great.

Yeah, don't really have any recommendations, critiques or anything. This is bloody amazing, that's all I can really say :D

Awesome, you know, there's an old Morgoth build on here from awhile back

LotR? May I suggest a "no fast travel" restriction? Lol. Seriously though, this build shows much promise. I can't wait to see how it progresses!

Thank I am glad that you like it!!!! And yea I noticed that the picture was offset some, so I am going to change things up. Also, I hope you like the build once its done. >.< He is much different in the Silmarillion and in the second age he becomes more like a ‘dark priest’ before finally becoming the Dark Lord. Also I would say that is a mixture of Sauron and Morgoth.

I was thinking about disabling fast travel. But the reason why I didn’t is because Sauron’s race (the ainur), are gifted the ability to go ‘uncloaked’ within the world and travel much faster (essentially limited teleportation). So I was gonna use that as a excuse for fast travel.

Also I have a quick question and concept that I would like some advice on. I was thinking about changing up the backstory so that the ring wouldn’t have been made at that current time. Then in the backstory I could blame his destruction not for the creation of the ring, but for spreading a corrupted religion (Worshipping Lorkhan or Bal), someone finding that corruption, and wagging war. Or I could say that when the worlds of oblivion were separated, and the Daedra could no longer enter into the world for a prolonge amount of time. Aradhelon was forced out of Mundus and into the realm of cold-harbor, where he consorted with Molag Bal for the power of domination over others. That way the role play could be him making the one ring. Although I will admit that I like the idea of him gaining power, and reclaiming the ring for himself.

The problem is I haven't figured how to 'claim the ring'.

So, my best bet there is that you have him forge the Ring/s (depending on whether you want to bring in the others) while he's in Coldharbour. I mean from what I understand of TES Lore mixed your current idea could have Maelon be banished from Mundus to Coldharbour where he beings plotting a way to regain his power. This happens sometime before Alduin is sent forward through the Time Wound caused by the Elder Scroll, which happens towards the end of the Merethic Era. Urgh, correct me if I'm wrong here but here are some loose thoughts on how to work it in.

Molag Bal betrayed Maelon, stealing the Ring for himself only for it to eventually get stolen during the events of ESO (meaning that you still have a situation where the Ring is moved around/lost for thousands of years on Mundus). This fits Molag pretty well, though I don't know if it'd really fit with Morgoth. And you've got the problem of imagining a world where Maelon doesn't have the Ring on him at all times, making the theft possible.

Dunno if that helps now that I think about it...the idea is sound. Maelon loses too ____, creates the Ring of Power, something happens that means he loses it, so rather than crafting it, your Roleplay it as him finding the Ring again.

I was going to use Lorkhan as the Morgoth figure, because he is more similar to the dark lord than Bal. (Although I will admit that Morgoth is a mixture of both Lorkhan, Molag Bal, and Boethian. (complicated)). I like the idea of Molag Bal taking the ring, and the ring being in Mundus during ESO. However, the problem with Bal taking the ring is the situation in which he may claim the ring. (I will explain more in the ring section)

Basically the ring although loyal to Sauron (Or in this case Aradhelon), can have its alligeance winned over. SO. If Molag bal were to claim the ring, Aradhelon spirit would have been diminished just as if the ring was destroyed.
