If you know who Douglas Adams is, the following picture says it all! :D

Arthur Dent is The New Mechanist! The suit is right there in the background! But he prefers the name Kill-O-Zapper.

    The Kill-O-Zapper

How do you do ol' chaps? Unfortunately my previously ongoing Fallout 4 build, the Spider, is not coming out as great as I had hoped, therfore I've decided to delete it. But DON'T PANIC! Allow me to introduce you to my upcoming Fallout event build, The Commonwealth Guide, loosely based Douglas Adams's series of books entitled The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!

I aim to make this a fun, dare I say idiotic, build complete with its own Kill-O-Zap, Marvin - The Paranoid Android and the one and only Heart of Gold! If you have any further questions then allow me to give all the answers in advance: 42! That is all for now. Stay tuned for more information!

    Journal

Entry #1: Oh boy this is such a joy to play and it's quite powerful! Arthur Dent just woke up from cryo in his pajamas with a full bladder. He's a bit conflicted about his wife's unfortunate accident. On one hand, he wants to bring the half-crazed visigoths responsible for all the debacle to justice. On the other however, he feels a lot less tense in absence of his wife's constant and pointless, in his honest opinion, bickering. Armed with his idiotic ingenuity he sets out to find his missing son. Daddy's coming to the rescue and hopefully not a tad too late because the Commonwealth's kindergartens are soon closing their first year sign ups.

Entry #2: With the mood and backstory chosen, I set out to brave the dangers of the Commonwealth. Staying true to Adam's books, I've decided to have Arthur always walk inside a power armor hinting at his counterpart's travels abourd the Heart of Gold spaceship. For now I'm keeping Codsworth as my trusty robot companion until I get the chance to build Marvin, the Paranoid Android. Again for the time being I'm using a modded energy based pistol which I gave the name Kill-O-Zap until I can get my hands on the alien baster. While helping out Paladin Danse at ArcJet Systems, I came across the Junk Jet and a hilarious idea occured to me. Since Arthur Dent from the books used to live in the U.K., I thought to myself, what's a more British way to kill someone than to blast him with teacups!

Entry #3: I'm level 40-something and have plenty cool guns: The Kill-O-Zap, Atom's Point of View Gun, Arkleseizure's Pocket Gun and the one and only Junk Jet. I feel like Tony Stark in Iron Man 3 with this. I just can't stop building robots: big, small, homicidal, default factory mode, you name it. Yeah, this is a robot follower build. Here are a couple examples of my fellow companions.

Marvin - Obvious reference is obvious

Art - Short for Artillery Support

    Igor

    Destructicon

    Succubus

    Medusa

    Lovecraft

I've read the first two books so far and they were hilarious. Truth be told, it's possible I would not have liked them so much had I not seen the movie with Martin Freeman first.

Yeah, I plan to use the quantum version of it. :D But it'll be a while until I get there.

From a building standpoint, it is a shame we can't access nuka world prior to level 30. I mean, it's pretty difficult, but yeah a lot of good stuff in there.

Hey - what are you going to do about Alien Blaster Ammo?

I'm going to change its ammo to Fusion Cells.

So, after a bit of thought, I've decided to rename this to The Mechanist. Yes, Arthur Dent is The Mechanist. My reason is that the Mechanist is the type of person who would enjoy reading The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. I've reached level 27 with this and it's crazy: robot companions, power armor, Kill-O-Zap, Atom's Point of View Gun and an Assaultron's head for a pistol. It just gets better and better. Can't wait to get my hands on the nuclears quantum thirst zapper.
