    Backstory

Like most Redguards, Hickim grew up in the land of Hammerfell. He grew up in the city of Hegathe with his mother and two older sisters. He had a father, but only saw every few months because he was a sailor, or at least that is what his mother told him. It’s true that his father was a sailor, but he was actually a pirate on a ship called The Ancola. His father and his crew sailed all over the seas around Tamriel and would fight and loot the ships that they came across, whether they were nobles, or just plain old fishermen. Hickim didn’t actually find out that his father was a pirate until he was old enough to be of use to him on the ship, at the age of 16. Once Hickim turned 16 and learned that his father was a pirate, he was taken aboard the ship and joined the crew. He journeyed with them throughout the seas as a deckhand for many years. Through the years, he learned to fight with a sword, repair his own armor and weapons, and how to kill a man without remorse. Through the years fighting and looting, Hickim, and his shipmates and father, learned that he had amazing reflexes and was very quick and agile. These skills helped Hickam with his fighting and he found that there wasn’t anybody that he came across that could beat him in a battle.

After about 7 years on board The Ancola, his father became very sick. At first, he just had the shakes, most likely from the rats on board the ship. After a few weeks of dealing with the shakes however, it turned more serious. His shakes turned into feeble limb, and would be bedridden for the next two weeks until he died. This left the Ancola without a captain. Hickim of course expected the crew would look to him for leadership since he was such an excellent fighter and his father’s son, but instead they looked to Hickim’s father’s first-mate Kalort. Hickim was infuriated when he found out that the men had chosen Kalort to lead them, so he planned an assassination on Kalort. His thoughts were that if the crew found Kalort dead in his bed one morning, they would have to choose a new captain and Hickim would take the position since the boat was rightfully his.

After two nights of planning his assassination, Hickim waited until all of the crew was asleep and snuck into Kalort’s quarters to kill him. After sneaking inside the quarters, Hickim snuck up to Kalort’s bed and slit his throat. He then turned and snuck out of the room as fast as he could and climbed back into his bunk as if nothing happened. The next morning, Hickim and his shipmates all met on the top deck and, to Hickim’s surprise, found Kalort standing by the wheel. As soon as Kalort spotted Hickim, he made the crew seize him and tie him up. It turned out that Kalort knew that Hickim wasn’t happy about him becoming captain, so he decided to have his first-mate Domas sleep in his bed, while Kalort slept in the first-mate’s room. When Kalort awoke and found Domas’ dead body in his bed, he knew who must have done it. Kalort and his crew decided to keep Hickim tied up for the next few days until they reached the port of Anvil. Once in Anvil, they set him free in the town, and then went and reported to a guard that they saw a Redguard man, which looked a lot like Hickim, steal some food and gold from an Argonian just outside of town. Once the guards found Hickim, they took him to prison where he would later be transferred to the prison in the Imperial City.

After being let out of prison by the Emperor before his death, Hickim decided that he would stay in Cyrodiil and try to make a life for himself there. Once he was out of prison, all he had with him was a few gold coins, a set of old leather armor, and rusty short iron sword, all of which he found in the sewers of the prison. He decided to make his way into the Imperial City and see if he could find any work to start him off with some more coin. He stumbled upon the arena and decided that fighting for gold didn’t sound like such a bad idea. His first fight was against a wood elf, which was no match at all for Hickim. After his first fight and those fifty coins were given to him, he knew he found his new career. He would be a combatant and fight his way to the top. Although he could have slept in the bloodworks of the Arena that night, he decided to go to the local inn and sta the night there and have some wine to celebrate his victory. After falling asleep, he awoke to a figure in black standing next to his bed. The man told him that his kill was a good clean kill and he told Hickim that if he killed a man named Rufio for him, he could join this man’s family. After killing the old man named Rufio, Hickim had officially joined the Dark Brotherhood. From this day forward, Hickim would go on to kill not only in the arena as a combatant, but in the streets and wilderness of Cyrodiil for his new family, the Dark Brotherhood.

I hope you enjoyed reading about Hickim and if you have any questions or criticisms, they would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, Carlos. It´s great to see more of these popping up here. And this seems like intriguing character.

And I had to change the title. You had "Build" instead of "Profile" there. Stuff happens.
