WE ARE ALL WE?

  • June 16, 2016

I apologize for getting a bit metaphysical and speculative right now but I have been thinking a lot about perceiving the Arubic Wheel and the various conclusions that come of it. We know for sure about three interpretations.

Zero-Summing - Where you see the Arubic Wheel as an "O" and realize you are just part of a dream so you lose all physical and mental individuality and become part of the Godhead effectively ceasing to exist. I ARE ALL WE

CHIM - Where you perceive the Arubic Wheel from the side and see it as an "I" and come to the conclusion that you are part of the godheads dream like everybody else but you still retain your sense of individuality by embracing the contradiction. I AM I AND I ARE ALL WE

Anti-CHIM or Sharmat if you prefer (I do) - Where you see the Arubic Wheel from the centre and the rim looks like an "I" running in a continuous loop forever and you come to the conclusion that everything is a dream but it's your dream. I AM AND I ARE ALL ME

But surely there are other ways to look at this and come to other conclusions which would in turn have different effects? I can't help but think that the Khajiit would look at the Arubic Wheel and come to a collective conclusion that they are all a dream but all still individual. WE ARE ALL WE perhaps? what would that result in?

Yeah, the cats. Maybe they'd become one super cat whose purr would shake the Aurbis and whose meow would render the world deaf. It would play with moons like they're cat toys and chase the Serpent across the night sky.

The Adamantine Tower would be uprooted like a garden plant and in its place would stand The Fur Tower, every person in Tamriel would be required to make pilgrimage to pet it and stroke its whiskers.

The Imperial City would be demolished and replaced by the world's largest litter box. And nobody, nobody ever, would be allowed to sleep past 06:00.

The Khaj play by their own rules and their philosophy seems to be the closest thing to the Psjic's Old Way.

Hah. Khajiit reach a new form of enlightenment from a play on words. Fitting.

If WE ARE ALL WE, then it would seem like the entire race would zero-sum

the Khajiit would look at the Arubic Wheel and come to a collective conclusion that they are all a dream but all still individual.

By "individual," are you referring to them as an individual race (among the other individual races)? If so, and considering their hypothetically collective consciousness, then it might be better stated" WE ARE WE AND WE ARE ALL WE.

Which is a tautology and nothing new was learned.

    Similar to the Sharmat.

Which is how the Khajiit seem to speak anyway.

This might be a futile intellectual exercise anyway sonce it's unlikely that a race would come to such collective conclusions. The Dwemer were close, but not quite like this.

See my response above. Though on the dwemer, that doesn't seem so. They fought with each other as much as with everyone else it seems.
