Indeed Chris. In TES when rumour becomes myth it literally becomes real.

Nice, Karver. So what have we so far? Light = elves, Fire = Dunmer, Air = Nords.

Earth = Imperials? Metal = Orcs, Wood = Bosmer. Water, Idk, Redguards?)) Darkness = Argonians (their Black Marsh, Sithis worship, etc.) What about Bretons and Khajiit?

Water could work for the Redguards. Pretty sure water is supposed to represent memory in the TES-verse and one of the big theories regarding Redguards is that they came from the previous kalpa, which I think are sometimes referred to as memories.

Tom and Phil are metaphysics guys so they might have to fact check on my two claims.

The water/memory thing is spot on and iirc isn't there a strong case to be made that The Left Handed Elves were in fact Maomer? So it seems Redguards and water is a good connection. Is there anything solid to back it though, like a cultural association greater than sailing?

Idk, I have a feeling water must be quite an important element to Redguards, they live in the desert after all.

Yeah a decent amount of people roll with the idea that the Left-Handed Elves and the Maormer are one in the same. I even took it a step further and proposed the possibility of King Orgnum being some weird amalgamation being comprised of every single Left-Handed Elf's soul. I'm split on the topic, personally.

Not sure about a strong cultural association besides sailing, man. There's the Far Shore (a shore obviously requiring a large body of water).

The Redguards also possess memory stones.

Ah didn't know this was posted. I won't participate in the discussion right now, but it's looking pretty damn interesting, I'll try and drop by later.

Pretty cool about the memory stones and Far Shores. It seems the connection is there but not fully explored by anything yet - probably due to there not being a Redguard focussed game in the modern TES world. Still, I like the idea that we as players can explore it unrestricted. Any plans to flesh it out more?
