Perhaps this is a simple question but I’ve been wondering about the relationship between Redguards and Nords. A historical run down of interactions and such would be very beneficial but if not I’m mainly interested in their ties in the 4th era around the time of Skyrim.

This is a good question, needs a bit of research and some thinking to properly answer. I remember the War of the Bend'r Mahk mentioned in TES IV, the most recent major thing between Nords and Redguards. From PGE 3Ed:

The War of Bend'r-Mahk increased the territory that is considered Skyrim considerably, allowing the Nordic counts to swallow up many miles of eastern High Rock and Hammerfell. Resistance by the Bretons and the Redguards is feeble in the cities of Jehenna and Elinhir, and more active in the border zones of the countryside. The city-state of Dragonstar continues to be divided into western and eastern sections, walled off from one another, each with its own government, and each with an atmosphere of mistrust and fear. There are few days without an act of terror from one resistance group or another, though so far little territory has changed hands since the days of the Imperial Simulacrum.

But that was two hundred years or so before TES V's date, and a lot may have changed. Indeed, those cities aren't in Skyrim so we can assume that territory was lost. That could be Imperial influence, so it may pay to look into what little knowledge we have about the Mede dynasty and see if there are any clues to fill in the gaps between the Oblivion Crisis and 4E201.

Also, thinking about the Empire, both Nords and Redguards made up the forces involved in the Great War, so if you needed an angle for a project, that could also be a good common ground they share. Like Nord soldiers on the March of Thirst, you know? I'll keep thinking and see if I recall anything else that may help.

Thanks, Paws! This is good information that'll help out. I've been inspired by the works of CWTV and lately, after watching The Black Prince, I've been thinking about a Redguard character who has come to Skyrim to aid the Nords to discuss a partnership in order to stop the Empire and Thalmor. Just an idea for now though. It's more roleplay than gameplay because there's really nothing special I'm thinking about for this character's kit. It's a simple idea but for some reason, I've never thought about it.

Additional information I'm looking for if anyone has any idea: What is Redguard society like in the 4th era? For example (excuse me if I am wrong, I just remember reading these somewhere) are they still anti-magic, avoid the undead, etc? What is their political structure, for example, Skyrim has their holds and Jarls, what does Hammerfell have? I remember something about Forebears and Crowns but what are they exactly and are they still active? Honestly, any information on Redguard and Hammerfell as a whole would be helpful.
