I've never played D&D before but I've been lurking this thread and might be interested. Also I've read a good bit of the rules and I think I have a grasp. I would probably be interested in rolling a cleric or fighter type and I could probably do one weekday a week (Saturdays would be preferable though), but probably not until at least 6-7 EST.

Please tank. As much as I love Sword and Board, that's all I've been doing lately. :P

Then I would be happy to tank. It's what I play in most of my video games anyways.

Hmm, times...Let me think of when I'll be free.

Well, I do have a break at the end of this week, and I could really play any day during them, but after that (two weeks) I'll be back for my final slog of Year 12, which would kick out Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays, Basketball further ruins my odds of playing Tuesdays and Sundays...shit and I think I'll be playing on Wednesdays now, so there's that too.

Saturday is my only real day I suppose, and even that's kind of up for debate (since that's my main day, my family usually plans stuff for Saturday). I guess I'm not really available, damn what a bummer, sorry guys.

90% of my first-impression characters (the ones I play blind) are Sword and Board tanks, mainly because it's hilarious and fun. After I get a feel for the enemies' telegraphed attacks, I switch over to a light swordsman.

Damn, I think you're the most experienced person here. If you wanna DM, Lizard, I'm more than happy for you to. Looks like everything's coming together folks!

So what we have so far is I think:

    An elemental monk  (fighter/ caster)

Dex Fighter (High damage, kind of a tank)

Cleric or Fighter (Healer/ Tank or Tank)

    A Rogue (scouting and damage)

A Druid or wizard (controller type, could do some damage)

This looks pretty good to me, guys. Can't say I have any experience playing, but from what I can tell and what I've read we'd get on fine with this set up.

Yeah, should be pretty good, with two tanks being able to suck up a fair bit of damage, and then a combination of various damage dealing/support characters we should be all good. Though, I'll only be easily available for two weeks starting on the 24th of September and ending the 10th of October, so if we play for much longer I'd probably have to split.

I'd be fine with that, I reckon explaining things would be harder over text anyway.

Maybe we should just get it started in the next few days, then see how everyone's schedule can work around it? I'm free a lot of the time due to a lax school timetable, and I don't mind staying up late or geting up early to play. That it, until later in the year, as I've gotta finish Y12 as well.

Forgot to ask, does anyone know the specialisation that they're gonna choose for each class? Just becuase each specialisation can be really different from another.

Perfect,  I think that'll work out quite nicely.

I'm in the same boat. I don't mind if it's late or early; as long as it's conducive to others' schedules.

It does indeed seem quite complementary. I believe we're going to do pretty good.

Sounds like the perfect tank to me, hard to hit, and gets really mad when you do. Gimli pretty much. I'm either going Land Druid or Illusion Wizard, so I'm the buffer and debuffer
