This discussion is designed to be a center point for people to mention awesome deals they see on Steam/GOG/PSN/Xboxlive or whatever other game purchasing platform that people use. (Origin I guess...). I figured it would be helpful so that nobody misses out on the sweet 24 hours deals that some run, and so everyone can get the bang for their buck these holidays.

If you find a sweet deal, just comment below with a link, price and platform so that others can check it out

My first deal that I thought was pretty sweet, was the Star Wars Franchise Pack on Steam. Coming it at 77% off for $23.00 USD this collection comes with a grand total of 14 Star Wars PC games.

Skyrim is also on sale for those meaning to pick up a PC copy to mod the everliving crap out of it. It's going for a pretty sweet $12.49 USD (That is the Legendary Edition as well)

Not sure how many here are into sports sims but the most popular one worldwide seems to be Football Manager.  Their 2016 edition in 25% off today, for $37.49 (instead of $50 USD).

Also the basic Skyrim (PC) is 4.99 which is a steal.

A Sim City style game that I've played is Banished.  It's relatively new, easy to pick up but still pretty deep.  It's marked down to $4.99 from $20.

Have you played it Chris?  How is it for solo play?  Reviews said it gets monotonous with repetition.  Thoughts?

The Witcher Trilogy can be bought on Steam for over 50% off ($34.39 USD) which is a fairly good deal considering the Witcher 3 is so recent.

The Call of Duty Franchise is anywhere between 25% and 50% off at the moment on Steam if that's your thing

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is one of the best games I've ever played (sci-fi turn based strategy) and is currently on sale for $8.49 in this bundle. The game it comes with is pretty ordinary but it's actually cheaper than buying Enemy Unknown by itself.

On the PS4 Witcher 3 is half off (25 USD), Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTYE is 60% off (24 USD).

Alternatively, there is the 10$ XCom Complete Pack that doesn't have the Bureau: XCOM Declassified, but it has the Enemy Within expansion and all the DLC.

    Uh, what?

  • December 26, 2015 3:07 AM EST

That's weird. The base prices are way different, especially the Complete Pack.

I bought BG2:EE, and I´m even considering buying BG1. Anyone fancy a game?

I loved BG...but man do those games look "old" now.

The Enhanced Editions have updated graphics so they kind of look more like other games basing their style off of older RPG's but not actually being older RPG's.

Something like Pillars of Eternity or Divinity Original Sin

    Also Karver... LINKS

Sweet.  I'm not a huge shooter fan but I'm getting FO3 now for that price to try it.  Saw FO4 is on sale too.  If I like FO3, maybe I'll spring for 4 as well.

Anyone have any comparisons between 3 & 4?

Personally I liked 3 a lot more. It let you really get into the game, whereas 4 actually has too many options available at thte beginning. If they'd locked the crafting (or at least settlement building) until a certain quest or something it woulld have worked much better.

From what I can tell, 4 is more about the people while 3 is more of a world-exploration game (that's the feel I've gotten from both)

I thought about getting Fallout 3 and NV for PC, but I then realized I already liked how it was on XBOX 360. So now all I plan to get is Skyrim on my laptop (If I find out I can play on low, medium, or even high settings) But I won't even try for ultra settings, because I know for a fact that my laptop might not even run Skyrim on high, but medium and low have good chances of working.

Welp, I figured I might as well continue using this if I see a particularly sweet deal, even if the big sales are over.

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition is currently going for 75% off on Steam. Anyone who's wanted to start the series could get an awesome deal right now.
