I think Molag Bal would win. Mehrunes Dagon probably has less followers now that the oblivion crisis ended and don't the daedric princes get their power from how many followers they have and whatnot?

These discussions are stupid... I swear the Daedric Princes have no need to go to war against each other, and they're both gods right?

They conspire and battle amongst themselves.  See: Boethiah and Molag Bal, Vernaccus and Horavatha, Clavicus Vile and Barbas.

And of course my personal favorite: Jyggalag vs. Sheogorath, formerly Jyggalag vs. Everyone.

Mehrunes Dagon would annihilate Molag Bal. Dagon has more skill compared to Molag and has more power overall with a Unending army of Dremora while Molag has Vampires. Plus Akotosh himself had to come down to fight Dagon.

That might be true, yet the Planemeld happened in the 2nd Era with the Oblivion Crisis in the 3rd Era. I kinda think Molag Bal's power would have waned far worse than Mehrunes Dagon's as of now. So my vote goes to Mehrunes Dagon

Mehrunes Dagon lost against a fraction of Akatosh's power. Doesn't seem to me like he would stand a chance against Molag Bal.

Mehrunes likely gained considerable power as a direct result of Tharn's actions and other events preceding the Oblivion Crisis, and then the actions of mortal worshippers that caused the crisis itself brought him to a level where that was necessary.  If he had enough power to pull those kinds of stunts all the time, why would he need the Oblivion Crisis and all the preceding strife of Uriel Septim VII's reign?

I think the real problem is Molag Bal lacks ambition for anything that grand.  Meanwhile, Mehrunes Dagon is the Daedric Prince of Ambition.

Molag Bal also has Dremora though they are blue instead of red. He pretty much has about the same amount of daedric minions but he ALSO has vampires.

That's true too but since it is a longer time period and happened before the Oblivion Crisis then it gives more time for information to be lost, things forgotten, fears to settle down, and more time to gain followers. Plus Molag Bal has vampires which are good for spreading his influence.

Also. Milag Bal's minions took over cyrodil in the Planemeld and practically started a world war. Mehrunes Dragon had to come out of oblivion himself to do some damage to the city. Just by looking at each event, Molag Bal is displayed as being more powerful.

Just as Librari said, Molag bal lacks the ambition, while Mehrunes is the daedric prince of ambition. I'd say Mehrunes.

I'd rather face off against a bunch of nerds in Mythic Dawn robes than someone like Harkon and his croonies so I'm going to have to go with the main man Molag.

I wouldn't say he lacks ambition. After all his goal is the total domination and enslavement of all mortals...
