Pinefrost Tower? You can sorta see Northwatch Keep where there is torture, and something about love I'm sure.

Is it on Solstheim? If so, could it be fort frost moth? My logic being:
    1. It's a fort and has towers
    2. I believe you can see Hrodulfs house from here, but I think this is more relevant to 3. Maybe life is short because of the traps?
    3. Bjornolfr died here - he loved Hrodulfs?

Could it be Highpoint Tower? Reasoning:
    1. Highpoint TOWER
    2. Nearby is a Reaver camp (the one where you get Stormfang I think)
3.You can find the Wedding Wreath there.

    Darklight Tower?

    1. There is Largashbur nearby and orcs are said to have short lives.

    2. You help Ilia to kill her mother

My reply didn't get posted for some reason.

    Darklight Tower

There is Largashbur nearby and orcs are said to be short-lived (not to mention the other two )

The quest at the tower involves Ilia killing her mother

    Indeed!

The tower is the Tower Stone.

"nasty, brutish, and short" is a quote from Thomas Hobbes, the English philospher, on human nature without civilization. Hob's sounds identical to Hobbes.

Isabelle Rolaine's corpse is found there, Ranmir's former lover.
