With my favorite sport just around the corner I thought I'd ask what kind of sports people here on the Blog play, and what your favorite sport of all time basically. I'll start off...

I enjoy playing American Football, I say it like that because the Blog is multinational, and I dislike Soccer/Football because it's just not very popular where I come from.

My favorite sport to watch being played is hockey, those guys are the manliest manly men around. Nuff said.

So, what kind of sports do you guys enjoy to watch/play? Share in the comments below.

Fun fact, soccer is an english term. After the rugby football and association football (soccer) split, players started shortening it to asoccer, then over time, soccer. It used to wind me up thinking that americans had plucked a word out of thin air to call our sport, but now I know the roots it can be forgiven ;) it shows that ignorance makes a difference.

A guy literally died on the bench in a hockey game and asked to be put back in afterward.

Bloody faces are an everyday thing in hockey though, you ever had your face, guarded or not smashed into sharp rock-hard ice? I'll settle on them both being hardcore sports, but I will never be convinced that hockey isn't manly until I see a player die twice and want to play again! :P

I've never seen a Hurling game, only that picture and that vid, I'll say it's manly, but nothing beats hockey.

BTW, did some research on Hockey and found that it's related to Hurling! It's like Viking Hurling or something, I didn't really pay attention to anything else, I just saw Viking and automatically was like "This is instantly ten times more badass!"

I enjoy playing football (not rugby), basketball, badminton and hockey ( not the ice one). I love watching people swim (can't swim though).

I don't enjoy watching any sport. I do, however, kind of enjoy of soccer if I'm playing against people who are around my skill level. Dodgeball is always fun except I suck at throwing. And I'm a semi-kinda-alright long distance runner.

I played basketball in high school but don't enjoying watching televised games. More fun to play than watch.

On a side note, I just learned there is a professional basketball team here in Berlin!

Football (soccer), I play everyday Sunday and also play 5/7 a-side throughout the week. I'll also watch any game if it's on tele, I plan on watching all the world cup games if my work allows (which I'm certain it will). :D

I'm lanky and awkward, so I don't go in for sports much. I usually enjoy myself when I play basketball, baseball or raquetball, though. I can enjoy watching sports if it's with the right crowd. I'd prefer to be at a live event, though. Televised really doesn't do much for me.
