  So I was playing Skyrim (duh) and was doing the Forsworn Conspiracy quest (also duh). I got to the end of it, when you are confronted by the three guards, and agreed to go to jail. After the conversation ended, they pulled out their weapons and attacked me! I didn't exit the conversation or skip any dialogue, just let it end normally. They just attacked me. I really want to finish this quest. Help, please.

  What Ben said, but it can also depend on several factors which I ran into:

  One, you might have a bounty in the reach. Two, you have joined the stormcloaks during the civil war questline.

  When I start my next character, the first thing I'll do is join the Imperials and kill Ulfric!
