Who would win between a battle between balgriff the greater, and Kodak white-mane?

    Kodak..all the way...the jarl couldn't hurt a dead fly!

Balgruuf wins low diff, Koklad died to the same type of bandits you mow down in large numbers every dungeon.

This would be one-on-one, though. I think Kodlak would beat Balgruuf.

I would have to give my vote to the Jarl. As Ben said, Kodlack was (actually, almost all of the Companions were) overrun by a small invading force.

After seeing that, I have absolutely no faith in anything that the Companions say or do, and that includes the words of Kodlack Whitemane. I believe the Jarl would be able to out-fight him and easily slay him if need be.

Balgriff has no leadership...and is NOT a member of the companions..and if, we'll depending on your choices as dragon orb...he gets kicked out of his throne!

I did not say that he is a member of the Companions, and I also thought that this was to happen pre-Dragonborn (as Kodlack could be killed depending on the quests that the Dragonbrn takes, and I know that Barlgruff could defeat an unliving corpse).

Balgruff's city was overrun by soldiers and he only submitted after being taken on 3 against 1. Kodlak died in a common bandit attack.

Neither, because I dont know who Balgriff or Kodak are.

But if you are talking about Balgruff the Greater, and Kodlak White-Mane, then I'd say neither. They would both fall on each others sword before actually fighting.

Well you guys have to take in effect that Kodlak turned into a Werewolf. The Guards would have had to put him down when the Silver Hand attacked. It's a menace, as much as they respect the Harbinger, it's a menace. Werewolves are no different than Vampires. Just though I'd mention that.

Kodlak died inside Jorrvaskr. No guards there

Think of it this way Emer. The Circle couldn't turn into Werewolves because the Guards would have to destroy them. Nobody knows why the Silver Hand came to Whiterun. Its just presumed to be a Bandit raid.

The Guards couldn't have defended such a beast. IMO the guards helped the Silver Hand upon realizing their most respected warrior is a beast.

He didn't transform into a werewolf.

The Companions? Don't they up hold the law? What about the Circle? If they defended Kodlak then they are branded criminals.

Kodlak is naked... Did they take his armour off because they wanted to? If they did then Im confused.

If not, then it's obvious he died a Werewolf.

I'm assuming he transformed into a werewolf and the fact that he was naked later was a "flaw" in the game script - it doesn't reequip armor afterwards.

He's never been naked in my game... And werewolves don't change back to human if they happen to die while in beast form . There a book in Skyrim that proves this, but I can't remember the name...

Not that if he got killed while in Werewolf form he would have his armor back on.

If he died as a wolf, he would have stayd as one.

Why would you go mess with bandits when there is group of badass warriors much more skilled than you inside? The real question is - how they got into the city? There is more going on there that meets the eye...

Well he had his hammer beside him, so what if he reverted back to original form before dying?
