Weren't they though? Their power came from Lorkhan, who is more powerful than the Deadra. More close to Sithis than the Deadra.

That is, if you use Aldmeri theology as a guide.

Shor lore, yo. It's a garden. Dig it.

Didn't the player kick their ass in Morrowind? I'm yet to see someone do that to the Daedra

They barely had any juice then. Dagoth Ur was bogarting it.

Didn't the Souless do that in TESO? I haven't played it.

I'm unsure what to think of ESO. I'm watching the quests on YouTube and they already screwed up lore a few times.

There is a temple to the Eight Divines on Auridon and those divines are Mara, Stendarr, Jephre, Syrabane, Magnus, Xarxes, Trinimac and Anu. There is a book near each shrine and in the book for Anu it's said to bless Auri-El...

You can kill Molag Bal in ESO but I'm not sure what effect it takes, I only saw that it's possible (quite dumb as well) and there may be some Aedra help there, I didn't watch the main storyline yet. If you're interested on where I watch it, it's here: Link

And here is the temple video: Cleansing Torinaan

To reiterate my point, there needs to be a new criteria for what is Aedra and what is not if Aedra is to remain meaning gods.

Every race has their own lore about it. Kyne is called the mother of men in nordic tales. Does that make Men on par with Elves as who is a child of the gods?

I want to know who assigned these seating arrangements and why.

There is a distinction between the term Aedra for men and mer. For elves it's the spirits who gave their power to stabilize Nirn.

For men following Imperial doctrine it's simply the deities in the Imperial pantheon.

That creates confusion and misunderstanding every time. Imperial can call Talos an Aedra and he will be right and Altmer can say that he's not an Aedra and he will be right too

Can we just assign things cosmically though? Would that make anything we do on par with Kirkbride? I mean, the only thing that would make it official is the Bethesda stamp.

    Pretty much, yes

I am now on par with Kirkbride!

How do you know it was "just assigned"? I mean, it's entirely possible, I don't know anything about TES cosmology besides the images circulated the last few days, and while very cool, none of them have made a whole lot of sense to me as far as the placement of Daedra.

Congrats?  Everyone is on par with Kirkbride

  • April 23, 2014 11:07 AM EDT

And this one! They just throw Sovngarde and Soul Cairn in there randomly. Like they had know idea what to do with them.

  • April 23, 2014 11:10 AM EDT

    cause it's random as balls.

Actually, I respect your opinions on TES universe more than Kirkbride's.

  • April 23, 2014 11:11 AM EDT

Vaz, let's go spam posts on every tes website as crazy as kirkbride, but under the name Kurkbride so everyone will get confused.

You won't know unless you ask.

  • April 23, 2014 11:13 AM EDT

I want you to post that as a status, Rune. Make it official.

It doesn't surprise me. With the scarcity of the information any model can be torn apart if you dig deep enough

ok, but you do know that it isn't really saying much.

Peel back the layers. I'm catching what you're throwing.

I say, when the worlds messed up and rotten. You have to tear it down and rebuild.
