Executing Ulfric

  • February 14, 2014 8:41 AM EST

So I finished the Civil War questline for the Empire once more, no big deal one may think. But I noticed something strange, something that made no sense at all. You see, I wanted to look Ulfric Stormcloak in his treacherous eyes before taking his head. But when I tried to heal him in order to let him stand, he just died. From a healing spell. I experimented a bit (with Magelight, Courage etc.) and I found out that every effect kills him once he is on his knees. Rather strange in my opinion, but what to you think?

    Does it make sense gameplay-wise?

    Has he a death-wish?

I'd like to hear your opinions

Makes sense in game play. Also, at that exact moment, his heart exploded because his love of country was too great.

I wonder if you can pickpocket him and if that kills him.

I like letting Tullius kill him so the legend is that an Old Imperial general with no magic beat Ulfric.

Ulfric should stand up after being healed and become more powerful. Every time a nord is near death his power skyrockets. Then some lowly nord beats his ass and rides on an eternal dragon.
