If anyone other than Elisif and Ulfric could be king or queen of skyrim who do you think it should? why? what would make them a good leader?

I could see Balgruuf becoming High King. He has a level head on his shoulders, and isn't completely biased towards anyone.

But, of course, a morally good, honorable Dovahkiin could also make a great High King!

Unless they are one of those poor examples who work for the Thieves guild and/or Dark Brotherhood...

I'm surprised this discussion hasn't exploded...

I deserve to be the High King.

Just don't have the Gourmet serve it... he seems a bit shifty.

And this is why Ben deserves to be High King.

Then they got connections and the ability to fund public work projects easily.

Dragonborn. It works perfectly. That way Bethesda in future games doesn't have to make a choice that would upset half of the people who play Skyrim. The kingsmoot was convened, and the Dragonborn, slayer of Alduin and Harkon and Miraak, is chosen as king. Sure if he's an assassin and a thief he's not that great of a person, but few good assassins and thieves are widely known as such.

Matt what race would he be though? We all have different Dragonborns.

It only makes sense that a Nord would rule as a High King of Skyrim.

Haven't you learned anything over the time playing TES Shor? Nothing ever really makes sense

Nords should rule Skyrim. If you think otherwise, step to me, son.

My dragonborn should be High King because I want him to be.

Seriously though I'd probably go with Jarl Balgruuf. Dude's got to be the most level headed Jarl, and is the only one who is totally adamant about not picking a side in the stupid conflict between the Empire and Stormcloaks.

Perhaps under Balgruuf the two sides could come together and pool their resources to rebuild and eventually take on the Dominion.

Canon Dragonborn is a male Nord so that'd be your answer. Just like the canon Nerevarine is Dunmer and the Hero of Cyrodiil is Imperial.

Genuinely, i think Abelone, the scullery maid from Dawnstar should be high queen.

Knight-Paladin Gelebor... or Paarthrunax (hope i spelled it right)...

The dragonborn is a Nordic "legend" so if he is to be high king, Beth should make him a Nord.

Paarthrunax wouldn't accept I don't think. He seems to realize that Dragons shouldn't be given power, and knows that even he can be tempted into repeating his race's past mistakes.

I know neither of them have even a possibility (or the inclination) to be high king. Still doesn't alter my opinion as i think either of them would probably do a good job and put some sense into those nords.
