    LMAO!

Never in my entire Skyrim experience have I felt fear of the levelling system whilst eyeing a locked chest. I micro manage my skills more than most but that's a new level even for me.

I get your point about being cautious with maybe some of the fast levellers like conjuration or illusion, but not lockpicking man, not unless you're a poor lockpick who burns through 20 picks a chest...

December and I almost always play under thief stone: sneak, alchemy, archery, etc.

    Rather interesting coincidence...

Don't know Mason, on most of my characters Lockpicking was always the first skill to reach 100. I once even took the Wax Key perk to slow down it's leveling

Very cool feeling, doesn't it?  I felt the same when first read about it

    Woah that's absolutely bonkers...

I open every chest I walk past and I only hit about level 50 - 55 lockpicking per level 50 playthrough. Even if I took the thief or lover stone that would only put me at about 65 at best...

You sir are either a very good or very bad THIEF!!!

These little skills that add up all provide HP and perks for your characters core skills though surely?? I welcome them!

For example, I sometimes disenchant stuff even if I'm not using enchanting for a bit of fast levelling on the side. Any perks picked up in the process go straight into my core skills, thus making me stronger against the tougher beasties...

The Warrior is what I picked for most of my characters in Oblivion, which was the first TES game I played. I suppose that fits nicely.

It'd translate to Sundas, 24th of Last Seed. Funny, that's the day when everything started to go wrong for Gwyn. 13 is a lucky number in some places (and I consider it lucky - although not really, I don't believe in superstitions).   So I think it's messed up - there are 13 moons (and some change) per year.

Yes, but the Western world largely uses a Gregorian calendar which was developed in the 1500's by Pope Gregory XIII.  Since Christianity is a major source for this fear of the number 13 (there were 13 people seated at the Last Supper, and given the events of that Supper and the betrayal of Judas, that number is seen as very ominous), it's no surprise that the Gregorian calendar goes to great lengths to avoid including 13 months.

As for why no one has recreated the calendar of the Western world into something more consistent, I'll never know.  I'm sure it's for generally the same reasons that the US has yet to switch over to the metric system:  they just can't be bothered.

I was born in September, that translates to the Lady.  I usually run with the Lord stone.  I use the Lady (as well as the Atronach) often though.

Mine is Warrior which I do typically use given my penchant for Melee heavy characters.

    Me too!
I'd prefer Lord or the Serpent.
One can easily open a Master lock with no perks, and only 15 skill if he's skilled or lucky.

Mage. I use Mage on a few characters, being a guardian stone. Seems cool.
