The Suffering used to scare the crap out of me, also Silent Hill games are pretty crazy when the things jump down on you from the ceiling or you turn a corner and see a not-nice nursie.

Because your nurse in Skyrim was so nice Shannon =P Let's see don't play many, perhaps Alan Wake, it was somewhat scary but didn't suffer from bad gameplay like Silent Hill IMO.

But this is the scariest game not my favorite horror game. In that case, Dead Space 2.

That was NOT my nurse, Matthew. I get blames for every single thing that goes on around here. I am all innocent.

Possibly Phantasmagoria in 1995. The sequel was more gory than a psychological chiller but also scary in a Hellraiser kinda way

Don't forget the Oblivion mod Lost Paladins of the Divines - really creepy and combat was no pushover either

Amnesia the dark descent, I also played one of the Slender games but that one is kinda overly difficult for how simple it is.

Someone at my school told me about Slender. I played and beat it in about 20 minutes. I don't understand why people think it's so difficult.

Winning Slender is based mostly on luck, that's why it's overy difficult for a game that simple. If you win or lose purely depends on how lucky you are in how fast you find the notes and how lucky you are in where he teleports himself to. There's not really skill needed to win it.

Willpower is needed, though. I have to look around me at all times, wich makes it alot harder.

    Amensia: The Dark Descent Demo.

I hate scary games, but Joe Lacy dared me to play it so I did...

Didn't go past the first few rooms

When I was younger I used to play the original Halo though and the rooms with the Hunters in them always scared the crap out of me, they where always dark, quiet, and empty except for the Hunters and I knew they where there.

Amnesia Dark Descent. Still going through it. It's a lot of fun if you want something to scare you. Good Halloween game.

The first time I played F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon), Alma (the little girl) scared the crap out of me. Now, not so much. Also played the first Dead Space, didn't think it was that scary.

I'm such a pussy, I won't even dare Amnesia or Slender, in fact Condemned creeped me out, my usual Black Ops Zombie strategy is to run until my teammates take care of it and I lost all control if my bladder function during Dead Space.
